U.S. Air Force ‘ace’ pilot, Brigadier General R. Steve Ritchie, reflects on his experience in Vietnam where he shot down five MiG-29s. He recounts how he overcame challenges and how he kept his word to become a pilot, and an ‘ace’ one at that!
.
Join us all week as we recognize Veterans from U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Navy. And a special thanks to our Navy Exchange partners in a Mission that Matters, Coast Guard Exchange, Marine Corps Exchange, AAFES, and DeCA.

I actually got to meet him at the Little Rock AFB Open House in October 1998, also had my picture taken with him and got his autograph.

Thank You for sharing your passion, your patriotism and your honor. I also feel so fortunate to call myself a USAF pilot. It has been my finest and most important life's accomplishment. Dr. J Terry Alford (USAF 1969-1974, class of 71-03, Webb Air Force Base.)

Thats the most fascinating Comment ever. I would be so interesting in hearing your Story. I am living in northern Germany and never had a chance to talk with a Veteran. What is your favourite Airplane? Best Regards Dilshad 22 year old

hello colonel, a question. Do you know a pretty crazy pilot, who lived in New England (like New England painting , hopper ) and who listened to the following song on repeat: Ain't No Mountain High Enough (extra HQ) - Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell. Please pass it on to the colonel and tell him he's a crook :)
