You always blow my mind with the incredible things you find and create and do with Emily. I wish I could naturally be this cool for my kids. Thank you so much for being so inspiring. She is such a lucky girl to have such an incredible momma! Also I can't even express how much I love this video. My middle son is a animal lover and wants to be a veterinarian when he grows up. I have some of these resources already just sitting in a box somewhere, so thank you for showing me how to creatively give him an enriching learning experience with them

OMG!! I love this! I wish you were my mom!! I would have been over the moon excited and grateful if I got the opportunity to shadow a vet for a day at 7yo!! Love it! Thank you for seeing your daughters passions and interests!!

This is SO worth the investment for kiddos who are into animals. We turned out playhouse into a vet clinic the first time when our daughter was 3. It's grown lots since then and it's THE best "toy" (curriculum) we've ever spent money on. I even love hanging out in there!

I think that's great that she wants to be a veterinarian. There was a time where I wanted to be one, but then realized that would mean I would probably be seeing dying and dead animals. I don't think I could handle that. Bless her heart!

I hope the shadow day worked great. When my daughter was 12, one of the soccer referees found out she wanted to be a vet and he, a vet, invited her. She went twice a month for about a year, even assisted during surgeries! I should have let her go every week. I was too worried about academics! Wrong decision! But it was awesome.

What an incredible unit you put together for Emily! Everything is so fun and engaging, you have such a talent for finding awesome resources. I so appreciate that you also post blogs to accompany these videos, it’s so useful. I absolutely love that you were determined to find a vet Emily could shadow, these experiences have an incredible impact on our children and I’m sure it meant everything to her. Love it! 💖

U could have a future vet in ur house. As a pre teen I read animal ark books.

I'm so bummed. I had the TPT unit in my cart, but hadn't checked out yet. I went to check out the other day and it was gone. After contacting the seller, she said she no longer has it for sale. I had already bought the Usborne book to go with it. :(

This is so inspiring! How long will you spend on this unit study? Or how long do you know or plan out to do each unit study when you do them? How do you encourage your daughter to express her interests to you so that you can create these amazing studies for her ?

She expresses them in a way like hey mom wouldn't it be cool if we could shadow a vet or watch a surgery? And I listen very carefully. After you listen and pick up and show your child you are willing to follow their lead they will open up more.

hi.. just checked this out and its super amazing.. thankyou for sharing.. i have a 6 year old and am planning to a unit study with her next year. i tried looking for so you want to be a veterinarian PBL on TPT but I just couldn't find it, is there a way or a possible link you have that you could share... thanks a lot

How do you decided when to do what? Do you do ether a game or a book for the day? Do you do several things?? Help! My girl wants to do a rainforest unit and have no clue how to do it schedule wise?

I don't schedule it. I normally add all of the things to a basket and we just work through them an hour-ish a day until we're done.
