Thanks for watching and yes it's great picking up tips from others. I used to use electrical tape to connect my wire to the chain, then one of the other trades just wrapped/coiled one of the conductor around the chain... bam! No tape, quick and easy. 😁

Ah, yes, the Inkzall markers. I've used them before when I was doing gutter contracting work in the rain and wet - they perform as advertised. Mark on wet surfaces consistently. Really wet will sometimes be a runny mark but they work. Definite upgrade from standard sharpies.

Finally used up my stockpile of sharpies and to date I greatly favor the Milwaukee markers so far. 👍😊

@@cali_misfit1387 Since so many of the "code & compliance" issues are based on local jurisdictions you will definitely want to check within your specific region. Typically, dealers and/or distributors can help point you in the right direction locally. I general thought I have is to always work as though the client (1) knows exactly what a good job is and (2) that that client is always watching you. In others words, do things the "right" way, even when nobody is watching. 👍

The Milwaukee markets are awesome, i won’t use a sharpie after using them, they write so much better and can mark on Surfaces so much better.

It’s a field that makes you proficient in several industries. My CPA was shocked that a gate technician really has 5 trades you must learn which makes it almost impossible to hire and keep an employee. I’ve always said it takes 2 years to teach someone this profession. Then they will usually go off to a mug larger company for the benefits or they start there own company.

Where do you buy that ball/chain and that magnet? That would be a life saver, I use a string with a nut tied to it, and use a hook to fish doors but your setup would be so much smoother.

The Milwaukee inkzals are fantastic so much better than sharpies. After using the inkzals I won’t use sharpies
@AccentAlarms
@AccentAlarms 4 года назад
I've got a couple more boxes of sharpies to use up then I'll give the inkzals a try. I don't want to try them until I use up what I have, if I discover that I don't care for sharpie anymore I'd be stuck with them. I guess I could keep them around for, "Hey, you have something to write with, I'll bring it right back?" moments. lol

The Milwaukee markers are good, but I like the RevMarks a little better. Especially since they make a white version. The only thing I don’t really care for on the RevMarks is their patented cap with a big clip. I don’t really find it useful, to me it just bulks up the marker. On the other hand the cap on the Milwaukee is very useful since it snaps onto a hard hat.

Hey I am 17 years old and I watch all your videos and love the content your putting out! I always see videos on RU-vid tho and when I go to try things myself I don’t have the tools required to do so, recently I have been using a box from a tool I bought on amazon, as my tool box, I duct taped the whole thing and put the few tools I have,inside the box , I am not trying to say I’m a charity case but I definitely would consider myself a little less fortunate than you. I was wondering if maybe you would be interested in getting rid of some of your old tools and stuff you no longer use, and I can put it all to great use. I would love to inherit tools from a guy like you
@AccentAlarms
@AccentAlarms 5 лет назад
Hey Brandon thanks for watching and for your comments. Trust me, when I was 17 I didn't have the same collection of tools I have now. I think my first tool was a pair of fence pliers! That's part of the fun; collecting, trying, and upgrading. I'd love to send you some of my "old" tools, but I've got my own kiddos who I'm helping and hoping will take to building their tool collections. Keep at it and don't quit, you'll find that over time you'll have tools you love!

What is the function of the chain . My english is not good
@AccentAlarms
@AccentAlarms 5 лет назад
That's a great question Oscr. The chain is used to drop inside walls, door jams, etc. then you use the flexible magnet to "fish" the chain out of a small hole lower in the wall/jamb. You then attach your wire to the top chain and pull it down/through the empty wall/jamb cavity.
