Does anyone know if Australia has a "beach tax" for tourists? It seems like the locals already pay taxes and already know to keep things well-kept, and that the tourists can be a problem

The history of Australians with sharks is not a happy one. The government used to put up nets to catch sharks to prevent shark attacks and they would catch any and all sea life swimming by the nets. If you don't believe me you need to do your own research. Very very sad they killed so many sharks seals turtles you name it it got snagged in these nets and it went on for years.

@@MousesHouses as an australian, as far as I’m aware, no. Also while you cant see it in bondi, in many places along the east and south coast especially, settlements built right on the beach are at risk of having the land eroded right out from under them. It’s quite sad, and the government isnt helping the people who may lose their homes so soon

The animals in the ocean are as important as the ocean itself. My hope is one day more people will realise this and make a concious effort in helping to maintain the ocean And its inhabitants when visiting beach or out fishing or simply traveling down a baoy of water that joins to the ocean. 🤍💙🦭🐋🦈🐬🤍💙

We can only hope 💜 But it can start in your own home. Sadly people don't think about what they clean the toilet with or stick in the washing machine can have an impact. Most washing machine liquids/powders state they are harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Normally under the eye irritation part. Little steps at home can make a big impact to the rivers and oceans too. Keep spreading your message. The oceans need love too 💖

Dr Scott and Tim Faulkner are two wonderful vets that are a pleasure to watch. Just want to add that Tim is a boyish handsome young man whose enthusiasm is so obvious it's almost contagious (except that I don't really like reptiles).

Sharks can live a lot longer than 10 minutes out of the water. I was a shark fisherman in the 70's and we had them survive for hours and swim away when we put them back in. Depends on each shark.

The "world leader in shark artificial insemination". Seems like that would not be a crowded field. Still, just the idea that such a procedure exists is a bit mind blowing; I wonder who first came up with not only the idea but how to carry it out. I hope this can be used for other endangered species. I would love to see a bunch of baby sharks swimming around. it would be so cute but unfortunately not a petable experience.

i'd like to point out that Holland is not a country, The Netherlands is. Holland is just 2 provinces (North and South Holland) of the total of twelve that make up The Netherlands :) Go Dutchies!

OMG that poor shark, they feel pain, don't they? And the divers actually risk their lives to save the life of a predator that everyone is afraid of? If I didn't know any better I would swear this program is staged. But I've seen Dr Scott in action before so I'll suspend my disbelief for this brave and handsome man who has hair on his head and none on his chest or back.
