Seb and Fernando really were the 2 finest drivers of the V8 era, it was such a joy to watch them race week in and week out. I miss seeing that these days.
I still go to sleep every 2-3nights of the week thinking,if only grosjean had braked at t1 in spa and if ferrari hadnt fked up just 1-2 strats(considering they had decent strats during that time).I remember how andrea stella used to rush out of garage to pitwall after fernando’s opening lap magic. He had no right to fight with the car he had to lead title fights till the final round, was within half decent strat of dethroning adrian newey’s monsters. The brit press had always downplayed his talent. For me,he’s the aboslute undisputed four wheeler motorsport god this century has witnessed second to none, up there among racing gods with fangio hill clark prost and senna.
@@musawirmohd6353 i mean if alonso didnt spin in japan he would have won. also alonso's ferrari was better than people make out. massa was checked out after his 2009 crash and was never the same so cant use him to compare performance. redbull were not even the fastest car. that was mclaren. so while redbull and mclaren had multiple strategy failures and reliability (twice vettel's car died on him and in quali) alonso could pick up free points. Alonso whilst maybe being in the 3rd fastest car, he had a reliable car and the performance was not that off the top 2 cars. i agree he is an amazing driver but to say he had no right to fight in that car is vastly untrue.
Made me tear up a little. One of the most forgotten things about great rivalries is respect. Which I feel has been lost in the recent era and has been replaced with uncontrolled hatred from drivers, teams and fans. It's sad to see that healthy rivalries are somewhat a thing of the past.
