Great ride, fantastic compressor! I've had mine for 6 months and have 3+ hours on it so far with 0 problems. One thing I would suggest is to always start it with the bleeder valve open as not to put undo pressure in startup on the piston and I always let the fan run for awhile to cool it down b4 shutdown. Enjoy your vid's keep up the great work 👍
Great video! I used to use a 4500 psi SCBA tank that I filled with my Yong Heng compressor. It was a P.I.T.A. filling and hauling that tank around. I made the switch to a similar compressor, and am I ever glad I did! Screw a tank! Yea, it might take a little longer to fill my gun, but it is way more compact than a tank, and much safer to drive around off road with. My 4Runner has a 400 Watt 110 Volt outlet in the rear cargo area. I just fire the engine up, push a button on the dash, and plug the compressor into the 110 V outlet, and let 'er rip! A couple of things. 1. Open the bleed valve when you fire up the compressor, and shut it once it gets going. It puts less strain on the unit. 2. Let the fan run for a couple of minutes after you fill your gun to cool the unit. I agree with you guys. Those compressors are a game changer!
If you press and hold the compressor switch for a longer time it will switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit and also you need to let the fans run for about 3 to 4minutes to let the compressor cool down after it stops pumping.Have the same compressor but with a different name.
When ever you start a compressor you want to have the bleed valve cracked until the compressor is up to speed then shut the valve, Also leave the fans running to cool the compressor a Little longer. Keeps your compressor’s life expectancy a little longer👍👍👍
Make sure to leave the fans running for a little bit longer after it’s done to cool down everything before killing the power it’ll help it last a lot longer these things get super duper hot and the orings will burn to a crisp haha
Wow, that's a nice unit. I didn't realize the price for a PCP compressor has gotten so reasonable now. I've been hand-pumping my Avengers, but I see one of these in my future. Excellent vid, thanks for sharing!
I did not know you were into PCP air rifles. I would have brought out my Hatsan Flash to show you. Maybe could have put a few rounds through it too. Maybe next time... George.
@@swidahooverlanding2867 Thanks George. They are new to me. My neighbor a gunsmith let me put a few rounds through his while he buttered up the action on my S&W 629 44 mag. I would have love to fire yours. I wanted to fire my Walther PPQ 45 but did not know if that was OK with you.
@@OdySlim It's Idaho my friend. Most everyone has protection. I had my Steyr S9 with me. Good for snakes, and two legged rats! I have been into air guns since the 80's. I just picked up a PCP last year. Thought it would save on the expensive ammo. If you come next year we will have to set up a range some night.
Awesome ride and honest review, enjoyed watching, thanks! Watched another review where the guy advised to run the compressor after use without anything attached and the bleed valve closed to push out any build up condensation.
Time will tell how long it lasts, but why spend big bucks on a compressor when these inexpensive ones can do the job for less $$. I have a similar one. Yeah I know ya get what ya pay for. I also bought an Air Venturi Avenger in .22 cal. Naturally I HAD to get a buck rail for it thanks to watching your video. I gotta say I love it, and it's very quiet. No waking up the neighbors when hunting Varmit Cong. Enjoying your content just wish I could afford the FX. Heck I can't even afford the FX Pellets ... 😄
I would not let it stop by itself or shut down under pressure due to the high pressure pushback on the pistion and rod without motor drive. Bleed then shut it down for it to last as long as possible.
I bought 2 of them less than 3 months ago and they are both broke. The motor and fans run but no air pressure. I have the cut off set at 4000 psi. I always let it shut its self off. I keep the fans running for awhile afterwards. I always bleed it off as soon as it quits. Could the auto cutoff be the problem? Their customer service sucks. I’m not getting any help from them.
The price on that compressor seems pretty good. I have a air venturi nomad and paid twice that 4 years ago. Hope you guys do an update video on this compressor after you guys get some good use on it.
I bought the nomad 3 thinking since it was name brand I was in good hands so far so good but it was EXPENSIVE I was thinking maybe it’ll last longer then these cheaper ones but only time will tell I guess
You are supposed to let the fan run to cool it down. It won't last long if you don't let it cool down for at least 5 minutes with the fan running. It'll melt your o rings in the compressor even faster. Believe me I have 7 downstairs that are burnt out.
Its nice that Terry at buckrail even put your logo on the moderator. I have quite a few of there products and all are topnotch! Keep having fun you guys.
I have a small two piece Vevor and I fill up all the big bores with it , the Umarex Hammer , the Texan LSS.510 , and two AEA'S , the Element Max.510 and the Challenger.357 ( which I don't really like ). It's never failed me. ..........yet , anyway. 😊
Great to see You guys again, and in a poncho-varms my heart even with a LS in it 😁. Had my compressor for more than 3 years, its basically the same thing same features and i use it on daily bases and it still works great, love that thing! Still waiting on my panthera in 30 cal, latest news is sometimes in september. Im in sweden and this market seems not be priority no1; think the US market sucks up what they can produce quicker than they can make`em. Looking forward to more videos from You guys.cheers from fx country 🔫👍🇸🇪
mine worked for about 5 months then it stopped pumping everything else works but the pump thing I think what happened was the rotary thing got disconnected from the pumping mechanism bc I can hear something spinning and I dont see the pump thing going up and down
Great review. I also watched the Vevor mod video. I’m just a rookie but are those small dryer cartridges enough to really dry your air? I heard that you need to be super watchful of moisture getting into the gun. Thanks
Good video everyone . Now cut some groves in a 2x4 and put some playing cards in it at 50 and 100 yrds and split some cards with them . Put a line on board to show where cards are helps . I used sticky target and lined up vertical with card . Five cards each lowest number of shot wins . Each shot over is five minutes of massage . Have tun .
Dang Danny! You ripping around in Big Wave was Gnarly! So cool coming out of the dirt cloud! 😂 Liv.. "I know who's washing it" 😂 I think that whole scene should go on as part of your intro to your Gnarly Speed Shop channel, add some clips of the Slayer Camero too! Sorry got distracted 😂 Nice, honest review of the Vevor compressor. Definitely need that filter to stop the moisture from causing issues. Danny's comments 😂😂😂 Thanks for sharing. 🍻
To be fair Vevor was a Chinese off brand that started to get popular and is now a name people actually know. I doubt the company even knows how it's pronounced LOL. But oddly enough Vevor stuff is actually pretty good. Almost anything I've come across has been pretty good quality. I try not to support Chinese companies, American companies that are manufactured in China are already bad enough. But what can you do, they're good quality for a good price, hard to beat I suppose.
I own one of the VEVOR compressor it did work great for a while.. Not even a year old and it died.. And contacted the company they don't stand behind there warranty. They only offered 30% refund.
I purchased one of these from Amazon after 9 months and 93 cycles it crapped out. I contacted Amazon and they said sorry contact vevor. After numerous emails and several “chat lines” they said you didn’t purchase from us so nothing we’ll do. The unit comes with a 12 month warranty which means nothing. I serviced the unit every 30 cycles and charged to 250 bar. I will buy a bike pump before I would purchase another vevor
Vevor is the worst compressor I ever had, their customer supports is terrible, they also use cheap components, I hope you do not run into any problem with your unit. All the best! You guys are great!
I second that! Mine lasted a whole 45 minutes of use before it took a crap! and like you said their customer service is really bad! The vevor techs have to have an interpreter to read your emails to them. Never again!
Really love you guys channel, enjoy watching you guys, informative while having fun,you guys really inspire me to encourage my wife to start airgunning 😊...your'll are a beautiful couple ❤ Also I'm from South Africa (Durban) closer to Matt Dubber than you guys😂,would love to meet you both one day.Keep airgunning!!!
Hey Danny can u do me a favor.just wondering if you would have a bench rest competition between your umarex g2 30 cal and one of the fx rifles.cant afford an fx but thinking about the g2 30 cal.are they good guns
@recklessjunkie No. Just saying they didn't realize the temperature was in Celsius. The working temp for this compressor is listed in its user manual. I have the same compressor. We could imagine the operating temperature for your nomad would be in its user manual as well.
Ya'll make a nice couple, I'm assuming that ya'll are married but regardless it is nice to see young couples enjoy each others company and have fun together.
I have to agree with Olivia Dan she does have the better looking gun and I'm sorry buddy I love you Danny your a straight up cool guy my friend but I'm gonna have to agree with OLIVIA every single time because she is such a BEAUTY.😊😊😊
Bought one, it died on the second use in less than a week of ownership. They offered me parts and then offered me 1/4 refund. I asked multiple times for a full refund and or exchange or upgrade. Nothing. Do not buy if you value reliability and your hard earned money. Still dealing with Vevor support. Would not buy from this company ever again. Very disappointing. Cheap junk.
They did for me. The compressor quit working and they gave me the choice of them sending me a new cylinder or a partial refund to cover the cost of buying one myself. I opted to have them send me one. Turns out, I didn’t need a new cylinder. It just needed cleaned. I took it apart, cleaned the moisture out of the cylinder and it worked like new. The secret I learned was to run these mini compressors without the whip a few minutes after use to purge any condensation out of them.
