Recently a new library came out that was designed to help streamline the process of CAD for Fusion users, I decided to put it through its paces and cad an older bot design.

I made my own fusion library a few years ago with sketch points and everything. Takes forever but makes assembly really quick.

I always use point to point moves then creat rigid groups bc joints slow down your computer a lottt

A great video to get started using Fusion360 with vex is “Fusion 360 for vex students “ by Jack Sopotnic. It really helped me.

The steel bracelet with wide holes we used was cut from a Angle Segmented 1x1x25

Does anyone know how to CAD the thin clear plastic sheets used on vex robots in fusion?

I’d just make a sketch that is the same size as your sheet, then extrude it to be the right thickness. I haven’t played around with transparency, so I can’t recommend any specific materials, but I’d be willing to bet you can set the material to something transparent (maybe glass if they don’t have plexi or lexan).

AMD phenom x4 965, 8gb DDR3, and a GTX 660. There’s actually a video where I went over the process (aside from the few upgrades mentioned here) on the channel, so if you wanted to check that out, it goes into a bit more detail.

There should be a button in the sheet metal window that converts it.

Kepler Electronics I have tried to click on the 25x5 sheet to convert it but it won’t let me click on it?

Kepler Electronics ok so I was able to get the 25x5 to be converted to sheet metal and I can select it on the bend function but when I try to edit the bend in the bend function and even when I don’t do any editing to it, the bend function won’t let me press it(meaning the OK button doesn’t light up nor can I press enter to do it. Does anyone know what to do?
