Yeah it's like they have completely undone all their hard work on making a stunning replica by that silly bolt stop , I still don't see what the logic or benefits is behind that.

I filmed those scenes in the vest in my initial review in December 2020. That was a bit brisk! I don’t know why people continue to argue the point. It’s totally a Xmas movie, right?! Lethal Weapon too.

And that helps a ton seeing as it’s a GBB channel 😉 Yeah I saw they are rereleasing co2 magazines. I shan’t be buying them though. I don’t like co2 as there are more disadvantages to it than advantages. It takes 3 years to reload them, you can’t top them up as you go and it’s so wasteful. Throwing out a big chunk of metal after every 30rds (or so). As I don’t play anymore I don’t need it to be 100% operational. The demonstration in this video was purely for presenting its capabilities.

@@rmtheg234 Always check the chamber on those particular models before reloading or it will jam, make sure to dryfire one shot to make sure all the BBs are out and its not still loaded

No I won’t be making a video on that particular item. Despite being one of my favourite guns, I don’t get excited about AEG’s. It took me years to construct the review on their SCAR and all because I found it dull and difficult to talk about. Waldo Customs made an excellent review on it. Why, thank you! I actually had their forged 416A5 preordered but it never came to fruition and the shop just forgot about that order. I didn’t chase it up either as already set my sights on the Viper Tech 416 instead. I would like to revisit it, but it’s a bit of an investment to pick one up again.

Haha. You don’t really see videos showing these things performing under poor conditions, so it’s nice to see the chinks in its armour. Even then it wasn’t that cold.

@@sleazykilla360 Well I've got all of those except the A4 but my SD has a fixed stock so it's sort of both lol. I also have the 417, PSG-1 and two G3's in different configurations, DMR/sniper, SAS SD, four G36's, a Bundeswehr Karbine, a sniper version, LMG version (heavy long barrel, metal foregrip and beta drum mag), a scout DMR version and an XM8. Some H&K pistols too.

Thanks! It’s quite easy to do. First unscrew the barrel nut and tap put the cross pin that holds the hop up in place. It has a gnarled end on one side and I think they install that in with it positioned on the left side of the MP5. So tap it out from the right/ejection port side.

You can get it cheaper from the Czech Republic, about 500 euros. Shipping inside the EU shouldn't be that high.

@@sogerc1 I don't know how shipping within europe works, but whenever I buy something from Canada or accross the ocean shipping is usually over $100. (I'm from the US.)

@@noncomplier5385 Well the EU is different, it's one big economic unit. Usually if I buy something from Poland or Czechia (the best airsoft shops are there) I get free shipping. I can't find a recent order below 200 euros, all had free shipping, but back in 2019 when I bought my apache free shipping was not yet offered, for my €450 gun + mags and other stuff I had to pay another €24 for shipping. And I'm sure it's even less these days. So for the OP I should've said he'll get free shipping.

I used to have problems with it shaving bbs at the start but I haven’t had any issues with mine since. It’s been feeding them smoothly.

A Version 2+ kit would be dynamite in your MP5. They’ve outdone themselves with the updated gas system. Although I have zero experience with the V1’s, only watched the few unimpressive videos on here. I’m not looking to upgrade this MP5 with anything apart from cosmetics. I don’t play airsoft, so performance upgrades would be a waste of time and money for me. Black gas would have reinvigorated the system in those temperatures, but I only use propane so..

@@BadaBingPictures If you endorse the V2 upgrade then I will definitely get it. I got my MP5 a good 9 years back and the V1 had so many issues (the most frustrating being that on an empty mag it would still fire) I read mixed reviews on its performance and most people would just say - you would need to tune it over time. I am excited to see what the performance result would be after I upgrade to V2. I play airsoft but for a long time been inactive because of work. I really enjoy watching your videos because you do the whole deep dive, Tinker Tom on GBBRs which will benefit GBBRs in the long run because me and you know they are cool. Keep up the good work with your vids and thank you for your feedback on V2 upgrade.

You can still use the same magazines, sure. Version 2 mags are excellent though. AMG made a video showing the difference between V1 and V2. Check it out

I’ve upgraded to a metal bin! I tried to find some legs for her but for the life of me I couldn’t find a set.

It’s a replica lid. I didn’t actually know what helmet it was a clone of until you mentioned it, I just bought because I thought it looked cool. TMC brand from Weapon762.

@@N.I.C.K- it’s a good quality helmet. Not so good if you have a larger dome! Still, it’s practical for accepting all the modern gizmos and the NV mount accepts my USGI rhino mount for my old school PVS-7. So I’m very happy with it.

The quality of the TM and VFC M4's always impressed me. The materials and finishing are usually spot-on. My Viper Tech 416 is spectacular regarding the quality too. Exceptionally well made.

Hey bro! Tough one but I prefer the finer aesthetic quality of the VFC. As I don’t play anymore it makes a lovely replica to keep around. At the end of my versus video I go into it a little more.

Germany, about 7 years ago. Apparently they weren’t made for the commercial market, only limited numbers for a Police and LE contract. Surplus stock disappeared fast on sites like Zib etc…

Better in some ways. The WE has a few tricks up it’s sleeve that leaves the VFC in the dust. To me the most impressive features are the hammer-drop on empty, high capacity and the bolt carrier can be taken down and reassembled in 30seconds.

It’s still here. Still gas tight and shooting straight. You may need to take a small hand file to the bb feedlip on the left side and round it out. @@TehSnake586 but mine (upgraded tightbore inner barrel only) is consistent & can outrange any stock 400-420 fps aeg. I lived in hot weathered country

@MrThordy It’s a better MP5 than the MP5! But that’s just down to the correct action when it’s empty. (Hammer Drop). More steel internal components too. Cocking tube, fire control parts. Everything which should belong on a V3 VFC MP5. If they ever decide to improve it.

Me too. Often thought about chucking on an A2. Comfort and stability.

Oh a lot of things could be better! 0.30g bbs are my baseline weight that I tended to use when playing, and that’s because they work well in my GBBR’s but also great for my pistols. Having multiple biodegradable weights on hand can be expensive too. As it happens even on its highest adjustment it wasn’t enough to lift 0.30g bbs in this MP5. So even if I did have nice 0.36g rounds, it would’ve performed a lot worse! The object was to show the impact the cold has on range with propane, which you can clearly see. Even on 2’s (which admittedly is a useless weight for practical purposes) couldn’t overcome it. Remember it’s on a cold magazine, and that’s what the MP5 performs like in that condition. That’s what I was trying to illustrate to the viewers. Worst case scenario, shooting in winter. Not when it’s 25° with no wind…then it’s just paradise. You know? I do have some .45g but that’s for my PSG-1. I am planning on trying a bag of 0.36g bbs though for the new year. So it’s certainly something I’m looking forward to experiment with.

@@BadaBingPictures The rubber should be GBB spec unless it's some awkward GHK design with AEG spec rubber which I highly doubt. You could definitely try a different rubber such as Laylax purple rubber. It has an added bump within the rubber and it really helps add friction therefore you can use much heavier BBs. I am faithful that it will easily lift .36 and .4, and probably even .43. I have the purple rubber in even my pistols, my WE G18 and WE G17 MOS can easily shoot .36 up to even .45. It's all about the rubber at this point unless your hop unit has loosened somehow which is also a common issue with VFC guns. Then that's a whole 'nother nut to crack because fixing the hop unit is different across the various VFC platforms. Some involve drilling a screw in on the side to "lock" in hop up adjustments. However I recall the hop up unit for the VFC MP5 to be extremely different than most. I hope you can try out my suggestions because I truly 100% believe you can achieve far more range with both the MP5 and the GHK AKM with adjustments to rubber and hop + heavier weight BBs.

@@Derplight2 I’m still thinking about looking at replacing my AEG spec GHK AK HU with a TNT or Maple Leaf. Although as I don’t play anymore there’s no reason to upgrade to be competitive. I’ll mull it over. For a video it might be cool but after that it does nothing for me. So you’d probably forgive me for wanting to invest in a whole new GBBP/GBB SMG/GBBR instead to channel funds on smaller performance parts. The stock GHK one really did not like the heavier ammo. Even with a full tilt adjustment. It’s like it only had enough steam to propel it a certain distance. This was in comfortable temps. Definitely would like to replace the one in my TM AKM though! Full hop with 0.28g and it’s dropping at or below 50m. Even in mild weather. This cannot stand! The review of it should be out soon and you’ll see what to expect from the box (if you don’t already own one). Medium to low range on .28 and up! Absolutely would benefit from a harder rubber. Too bad it doesn’t use a traditional tensioner nub, otherwise it would’ve had a brass one to help elevate the flight path. The VFC MP5 hop is fine. It just doesn’t like cold weather. Given mild conditions it launches them to the horizon. It’s still using it’s hot gas system from Asia, so it’s not been restricted at all for a lower output. The reason for the disappointing results in this video is simply me deliberately not giving it the benefit of correct cold weather management and winter appropriate gas. No illusions, just a raw look at it NOT at its best. I noticed that my cold weather tests in the past just captured the GBB cycling. Not what happens to the bbs in those temps at distance. That’s why you saw what you saw. Thanks for this discussion. It’s always great to have this dialogue in the comments 👍

@@BadaBingPictures Good stuff. Progress is for sure being made for your experience. As for the GHK AK, I suggest the TNT inner barrel, rubber and especially the hop up system replacement. But since you already have a TM AKM, I agree it's not as paramount to upgrade the GHK as the TM is far superior. MWC has infact made a gas delivery blue valve specifically for the TM AKM and that would allow for high pressure gas. Remember all of Asia's standards are not the same. Japan and Korea have fps restrictions but Taiwan and SEA commonly use higher pressure gas. 8kg vs 12kg (even 14kg up to 22kg)

DO IT! The gas system on these things are incredible. Die Hard 2 was my first introduction to the MP5K as well. Always remembered Robert Patrick with that, and the Glock 17.
