also take into consideration the vfc mp 5 is almsot ten tiems the price and not 10 tiems better for now the vfc mp5 is 3000 dollars compared to the basic we tech mp5 340 dollars...

I FINALLY watched this all the way, last year was crazy so I made a new years resolution to watch this entire video. Bloody pleasure to watch it all tbh, your editing etc is the best out of any airsoft youtuber (hell, it's better than ANY real steel channel too by far). You know me, steel steel steel internals. A few months ago I would have said "lol WE, no competition, WE is better" but now that there are steel trigger kits for the VFC... much more difficult decision but I'd probably end up going with the VFC and then take out that gross cocking tube and drop the WE cocking tube in, damned it other things wear lol. I honestly don't see anything wearing out faster with a steel cocking tube tbh so should be fine.

You just got another sub, my friend. Hoh, my gawd man. This video was soo much fun to watch. Thanks for taking the time to make a quality head 2 head on these beasts. I have a VFC UMP45 GBB, so I'm already a bit biased onto their side; but seeing the stiff competition of the Apache, was so freaking entertaining man. All in all, I'm going with VFC just because I've had 2 A.E.G's and 2 GBB's from them and they haven't failed me yet. They're externals are built like buildings and they're internals are amazing. Never been a tech, so having a gun that's super durable, realistic, well working, and great looking is just what I prefer.

BB, your GBB videos are my favorite on RU-vid. The stunning visual effects down to the great narration and overall attention to literally every detail. It’s obvious that you make reviews from a player’s and collector’s perspective rather than just give off the specifications found on a retailer’s site. One thing I think that would be great is to showcase some of your favorite upgrade parts for your GBBs to increase range/accuracy on various guns for better skirmish-ability.

Thanks buddy. Took me an age to construct but I think it turned out okay. With this kind of comparison you should have a clearer idea of what you can expect a stock gun to perform like. Honestly, I don’t get into the whole upgrade culture. If a gun doesn’t perform the way I expect it to out of the box, I don’t want to waste money on it. It can be a deep rabbit hole which may or may not have the desired affects at the end of it. Fortunately I am very careful with what I buy for myself and haven’t required paying any attention beyond possible cosmetic enhancements. Even then I don’t tend to waste money on those. Just look at my M4 MWS, it has a carry handle and it’s original RIS still attached at this present moment 😂.

@@BadaBingPictures, fair enough! For me, I’ll usually only upgrade to steel internals if I keep breaking my OEM ones…for example, I got that steel trigger unit coming for my WE G3 because I keep breaking the hammer and bolt stop feature (that little silver part next to the firing pin). The most I usually upgrade is the bucking and barrel because I play outdoors with long distances. Externally, I don’t do too much. I love iron sights and original parts (I’m a little old school).

My retractable stock came in today, and this video releases, its a sign i have to use my WE apache next time i play, nice video, loving my we apache. My upgrades are ratech 225mm 6.01 or 6.02 innerbarrel (dont remember), and snipermechanics flamingo 60 degree bucking latest version. Love the look it has with the retractable stock + magpul handguard, by far my favourite replica.

Thanks for another fantastic video! this one must be your best one yet in terms of comprehensiveness of the details about each gun, the wealth of testing data gathered over thousands of rounds, and of course the production value in the video (do i detect some inspiration from RealFakeGuns?). with such in depth videos it's no wonder why you're the channel to check when considering a GBBR purchase. I myself have a WE Apache and I'm happy with it (the GHK AK platform is where I go instead, if i want to pour buckets of cash on something) but I'm glad to learn more about the VFC. I've always heard that VFC is all appearances and lackluster performance, but it's interesting to see some empirical comparisons online. Again, thanks for this wealth of information.

This review is so detailed that answers the question that every roller-locker enthusiasts may have. To me it sounds like it can be summerised: if you're happy with stock gun - go for WE, If you're into modifying - VFC. (I own a VFC's MP5SD V2, cocking tube replaced)

VFC is a little more prestige if you want to build your own iconic HK bullet hose, yet it can still run like dynamite if you need it. …but I don’t need to tell you that with that sexy SD3 of yours.

Keep up the awesome job! 👍🏻✨ Secondly: After watching this all the way, I think my decison on a gbb MP5 is now gonna be a hard one to make! I’ve always been sucked to the VFC stuff cause of their authenticity, but the WE for performance and ease of access to parts. But now? It appears BOTH of them in their current versions are stellar performers! I might still go with the WE cause it’d be easy to get into due to no shortage of spare parts, but also, as a WE 416 owner I think they do a fine job on their guns given the price. But man, that VFC is a beaut.

A local airsoft shop owner that I got my WE 416 from said that he previously owned the 416D gbbr and loved it. So I’m curious to see VFC’s gbbr quality with my own eyes. Cheers, man! Great review as always. For all the advantages, the VFC fails in (arguably) the most important part of owning an MP5: the slap. As you pointed out in a fairly heated video a few months ago, the VFC cannot be slapped for a long time before the carrier snaps in half (because it's slag/pot cast alu/fe instead of steel).

Why, thank you! I believe VFC have changed the materials of their support tubes. Although it’s unknown how long they’ll survive slaps. Mine got through a whole year, which isn’t too bad for a crappy pot metal. For me it’s all about the lack of a correct hammer-drop on empty. This is my number 1 complaint. Cocking tubes can be replaced easily enough. We’re stuck with the method of bolt stop forever.

Thank you for the video badabing! Between this and explosive enterprises's MP5 video, I've decided I'm gonna try GBB MP5s again with VFC after having sold my old Apache. It seems to make up everywhere the Apache fails (fire rate, sloppy fire selector, cheap parts, unsatisfying recoil etc) at the cost of a little bit of modding and the admittedly weak bolt-stop function. Here's to hoping there will be a V3 someday that fixes this, improves the trigger, and strengthens the charging handle (if it hasn't been already)!

Hey, Aw shucks! Thanks for watching the content. I think myself and Catgut have done really well at showing off the VFC MP5. If I do say so myself. If you’re going for a VFC, I highly recommend picking up the SEF trigger pack as the trigger action is more positive. The whole operation is cleaner. I had the version 2 SD3 and it’s SEF pack was a delight. You can imagine my surprise when I received the A5. It’s not horrendous, it’s just not as definitive. If they get around to making a V3, I’m sure it would be crowned “the best”. Until then, the Apache still has it beaten on a several points.

@@BadaBingPictures Hey, no problem at all! I'll definitely look into a SEF if I get tired of the trigger; the 3-round burst is a big selling point for me right now, but I'll have to compare the enjoyment I get from it with my dissatisfaction with the trigger over time haha.

Hey there, I like your videos and your voice , it relaxes me :) I own both and in my opinion, since the WE weighs approximately 3 kg (like the real steel) and is made from thicker steel, it feels more like a real firearm. In contrary, the VFC weighs only 2.4 kg, is made from thin steel and , therefore, feels more like a toy. I think that these facts (about the weight) are important for those who are watching this comparison. Great review!

Amazing video!!! I’ve had a crazy issue with my we tech Apache a3 the bolt snapped in half while I was firing in full auto, I got a new part but have to swap out the bolt carrier internals

I still have my version 1, but “DX” version tricked out by dragon bb. So it came with some various steel internals (crusader bolt, steel bolt, can’t remember what else). Less than 500 shots, I was getting seat issues where it would go full auto in semi. Taking the entire thing apart, I realized the trigger has worn. So what did I do? Bought a real HK lower. The VFC steel trigger box (i think that was another upgrade) dropped right in. The entire real steel trigger mechanism fits perfectly. I even bought a real steel cocking tube/charging handle assembly and it dropped right in. A real steel surefire hand guard, and a real steel A2 stock. All fit right in. So now, my lower is about 90% real, and 10% Airsoft. Works perfectly. With a handful of CO2 mags, it sings. The selector does go beyond its capability? But that’s how the real MP5 disassembles as well. You need to move the selector into the “beyond” position to break it down. I also put the VFC steel charging handle on a real steel cocking tube because… the real HK is smaller in diameter than VFC’s, making VFC’s easier to slap. The only problem is the 6mm stamp at top. But otherwise, it’s perfect!!!

BadaBing did the HK slap in 6 ways during the shooting sections: 1) left hand slap with tilt 2) remove handle from the notch and let go 3) smack from the top 4) right hand slap 5) backward slap (I can't do this one so stylishly) 6) flick down with fingers And there are more ways to do it (that I know of): 7) flick down with thumb (after you grabbed the handguard) 8) palm on cocking tube (similar to 3 but more chill because you're not actually hitting the handle) 9) slapping with your fist (think Neo's "guns, lots of guns") Most of these have right hand versions too. There are so many ways of doing it so fuck the bolt lock, who needs it, the MP5 is so stylish.

Yesss, the video we've all been waiting for 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 The problem is, once I've heard the click no bang after the last round, I can't go back to an inferior design. Plus the larger mag capacity and better trigger makes the WE the clear winner for me. There are of course things I don't like about the WE, BadaBing didn't even mention the leaky mags and mine shoots too high even with highest (or lowest depending on POV) setting on the rear drum (fortunately I looove red dots). This was 50 minutes of GBB porn.

Great video! Love the intro. The VFC seems to have stepped up their game and to me looks like the winner here. Will definitely get one, just need to track down a real SEF lower housing first, but they seem to be hiding. I’ve had the slim handguard and easy fixed stock for years now hehe.

for the moment I still only personally have the WE MP5k PDW and MP5A3/A4 (I will probably by the separate collapsible stock to allow me to use A5 configurations too, and perhaps the SD3 to go with the other two) I do have access to the VFC MP5k PDW so I'm tempted to compare the two myself, as well as the new Marui AEG that is also knocking around the office gun cage

Thanks man! I do my best. I only use propane. No added silicone oils or anything that’ll drench the hop and barrel in stuff. It’s a dry gas and that’s perfect for this thing of ours. And it’s cheaper.

@@SkinRanger if you’re more concerned about a weird smell at a time when other players are shooting at you, you’re in trouble😅 Sure it’s not very pleasant, but just ignore it. You’ll be alright. Plus, it works for it’s designed purpose. To detect if you have a gas leak when they’re in storage.

Yeah they look nice. The recoil looks impressive too. But I can imagine it being no better performer than a humble WE G17. Haha. Oh yes those RainbowSix vibes were on form in this vid. I love that Red Storm was inspired by Heckler & Koch Training division and used the image for their game. i might be late to the party, but i just wanna say that the mushy trigger of vfc(from what i've heard) is only present on the 3rd burst models(mp5a4, a5), so you can potentially mod it(or buy the sd model) to avoid it!

Thanks mate. I have no plans for a VFC VS TM MP7 video. This comparison was tough to put together and talk about time consuming! It’s something I don’t want to relive, not just yet anyway. If I make another versus video it’ll likely be GHK VS TM AKM. I don’t think I’ll make the M4 version as my GHK doesn’t represent what they’re like now so it wouldn’t be accurate.

Hey man! What do you prefer; the MP5 with the fixed full stock or the MP5 with the retractable stock? Having a hard time choosing so I thought I'd just let you choose for me. Also, keep up the amazing reviews! You're the only good airsoft reviewer I know of. Everyone else just got the product for free so they shill for it or they were paid to do the review. Then there's those who barely go into depth.

Hi there. I’ve always preferred the collapsible stocked variants because they’re easier to transport and I think they look slightly better. Not as comfortable to use as a nice A2 but that’s the sacrifice we make. Also we see those crop up in movies etc…so that helps! I owned an A2 equipped MP5 in the past and I loved how ready to go it was. It was always game-on. Tough call… Thanks mate. Really appreciate it. I do my best. You’re the same Rayndown from Reddit?

Hello friend, first of all, what a good video, I watched your entire video but I had a doubt/question! I decided to choose the "umarex MP5A5 GBB version 2" but as you said that its "load support tube" is metal and not steel at minute 14:00! My question is, can I use the "WE" brand "load support tube" and replace it with the VFC/UMAREX one? This way, even if it is more durable, because I think "WE" sells those support tubes separately!.

Hey bada, can you elaborate on what’s happening at 29:55 when the we seems to fire automatically even when you release the trigger and you have to recharge it to finish the mag? This happens with mine all the time and is really frustrating, but I’m not sure how to fix it. For me it can happen even when in 3rd burst or semi auto mode, it will go into full auto and mag dump all my gas. I notice it happened to you in semi at 35:45 as well. Any thoughts?

Hi mate, Thanks a lot. Thrilled to hear you like the content. I’d say the WE Tech charging assembly has a meatier feedback. The recoil spring is slightly stiffer and when you chop the handle down it sends that steel support tube home with a good fast thunk. The VFC owns it when it relates to other realistic features, as I go into within this video. But because the WE isn’t impeded by the nozzle stopping on the follower, it can be slapped with an empty magazine inserted. It’s a tough choice as both brands can offer you everything what you want…just not all on one unit. Sadly.

What an awesome video. My choice would still be with WE, as I always prioritize recoil in a GBB. And the anti-dry-fire system is much better engineered in the WE. As a side note, that "10 meters range" at 35:30 is just silly... how could you expect anything else from soaked bbs?

@@BadaBingPictures the idea is to add rudimentary, fixed hop ups to those low-capacity shower shells. If it goes well, we may end up with about 40m range, which will transform them from a novelty item to something we can actually use in the field :) Since TAGs and 40 Mikes are banned down here (and most of the world), this may be the key to unlock the granadier role
