Hi neighbour- very cool. I was playing around with a similar idea, having just gotten an Arduino ‘nano ble sense’ which has ML capabilities via micropython & TinyML. Probably easier with a Raspberry Pi which can run OpenCV and is more capable.

Hi Bernard, I have some Arduinos around the bench but I didn't think would have the processing power to do the recognition in real time. The Raspberry Pi is a good alternative and the code is in Python so should be no problem to run it there. Right now I do not have any spare RPi to try. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thanks for sharing this excellent project! An excellent addition would be to have the computer announce the frequency with voice (sound). This could prove invaluable for a visually impaired ham who has trouble reading the dial frequency. In fact, with some work, this could probably be made to work with old displays that predate digital readouts. DE WA1KLI

Hi John, I followed on your suggestion and added the voice synthesis capabilities to announce the frequency. I uploaded the latest version to GitHub which now has an GUI and config.ini file. Cheers.

Muy buenas amigo,como ya sabras por otros comentarios tengo una ts930s, recientemente me he comprado un hilo largo para las bandas de 10 hasta 160m,pero la emisora a full de roe,al principio pensaba que el hilo estaba mal,pero lo probamos en casa de un amigo y el hilo funciona al 100x100, yo he cambiado coaxial y todo,a si que el problema viene de la kenwood, ella ha estado funcionando bien siempre con una solarcon en 10 y 11m Cual puede ser el problema? Tambien veo que en medicion de ic se sube a tope

Resolver estos tipos de problemas nunca es facil y lleva tiempo hasta encontrar el punto de la falla. Lo mejor es ir "descartando" cosas. Primero descartar todo, es decir desconectar la antena y el coaxil y probar con una carga fantasma de 50 ohms y como minimo 100W directamente a la radio. Ver que ROE tenes y con 100W IC tendria que ser alto es normal. Segundo, si todo hasta ahi funciono bien, seria conectar el coaxial y mover la carga fantasma el final del coaxial antes de la antena, suponiendo que es un solo tramo y no tenes ninguna otra cosa de por medio. Ahi verias que ROE tiene tu tramo de coaxial. Por ultimo, conectar la antena de nuevo y volver a probar. Ahora, un par de comentarios acerca de las antenas de tipo "hilo largo". Siempre van a tener un ROE alto, ese tipo de antena requiren si o si de un buen antenna tuner (antena de "hilo largo" fue mi primer antena, asi que las conozco muy bien.) Yo usaba un sintonizador automatico MFJ y nunca tuve mayores problemas. Si queres escribime directamente por email y seguimos conversando. 73
