+Boss Singh He's good on some topics considering nationalism, but he's far from secular. He's also quite pro christians and muslims than being fair and balanced. When he does videos discussing deaths of several RSS workers at hands of local muslims, than merely a muslim IAS officer not being allowed in temple, may be i will revise my opinion. So far though, he's not exactly secular.

+Dharma Teja (DT) : While I agree with you 100% on Corruption. Here are my other views - Independent Temple Management will lead to corruption is half baked argument in the sense. We have 20% Muslims (more population than entire Pakistan) and 10% of other Minorities - so put together 30% of 1.2 Billion population is equal to the population of entire Europe OR entire USA. So to assume that there is no corruption in minority governed Religious Boards of 300 Million people cannot be accepted either. Hence, the Government should put all checks and balances required and take several Peetadhipathis, Leaders, Seers from all Hindu sects and create a solid framework for transparency and governance and Let Hindus govern their own temples and their funds. In our present day framework, there is no Transparency. 28% goes for salaries of endowment departments,7% goes for providing facilities and upkeep of temples, Very Little % goes towards Government Programs. There are no records for around 38% of temple revenue collected at shrines like Tirupathi, Shirdi, Sidhi Vinayak Temple, Vaishnodevi Mandir.

I explained the solution (may not be perfect) to the problem in my last post and India can definitely find a solution to Hindu Temple Autonomy with several intellectuals involving. Here is an example of What religious autonomy can do..From the outskirts of Hyderabad Uppal to Kazipet all the road side properties are owned by Catholic missionaries who do a lot of service through Hospitals and Schools (some are free or subsidized). If Hindu temples are given autonomy they would do the same. With the current structure 38% of the Temple Revenue goes to anonymous sources. Advantages of Temple Autonomy. 1. All Religions would have been treated equally and as per constitution. 2. Temples can as well take up charitable works just like Muslims and Christians. 3. With a transparent governance 38% of money can be saved which currently is going "SOMEWHERE" Regarding Hindu religion being majority in India. Actually Hindus are third largest religious community. Christians and Muslims dominate in 1st and 2nd positions. Every year several Christian Missionaries from all over the world support Indian Churches, and Several Muslim countries from all over the world support Indian Mosques. Autonomy given to Hindu Temples would make a lot of sense as there are no foreign funds coming to support Hindu causes.

+Viplov Sen Apparaju I agree that temples should be given autonomy but remember loads of NRIs give money to Hindu temples. Those NRIs have foreign citizenship, hence they are foreigners. Also UK, USA, etc... have allowed to build temples even though they are not Hindu countries.

The point I was trying to communicate was all religions should be treated equally. Currently with meagre funds spent on Temple Towns and Historic places, all you find is mindless graffiti on religious and historic sites. Hindu Temples can develop their temple towns and historic places and they don't need government intervention. Because in 65 Years of Independence Tourism is a neglected domain. When Indian constitution proclaims about separation of Government from Religion and it is an irony that Government controls only properties and funds of Hindu Temples. It beats the very foundation of Religious Autonomy when there is none for Hindus. Hindu Culture and Cultural traditions are not supported - please compare with Communist China - they have never meddled with perpetuity of their culture. Sanskrit language debate discussion leads to fist fights on TV news shows. Hindu Temples will start their own religious schools and teach Vedas, Sanskrit just like Muslim brothers have Madarsas and Christian brothers have Bibile colleges. I hope I am not sounding offensive to any other religion.

Who decides who is who? Silly argument... when a Church or Masjid is not administered by Govt directly then why only Temples? Why the double standards? Stop being hypocrite. First of all it is a non sense debate. Second, despite the fact that I admire Arnab in certain cases, he is not balanced across the debates. In one case he argues for one nation one law - in another case he supports dual legal stand. I remember one debate he argued that law is for reasonableness. For decades I do not understand why Hindu temples should be controlled by Government - but Churches and Mosques are let free. There is to much of absurdity by political party to appease minority in India and it is our weakness that we have been tolerating. I wish we have one strong personality who can show the true levels and cut them to their size.

Does Arnab know that all profit/rich temples of kerala is under "Govt control Deswsom Board" often the boards members are muslim & christians? And no Mosque or Church Board has instituted or brought under one "Religious Board" to control/ check/audit etc, and does christian or muslim allows it which inlcude hindus or sikh in their running of affairs, after all it secular nation, either relieve all temples to hindus or bring-in others into one coropration or board! At 16:20 Arnab says Muslims were allowed on Bakra Eid to do namaaz in a temple. Ask him: will any church or masjid in India or anywhere in world will allow Hindus to pray or do kirtan or bhajan ? He is conveniently overlooking hypocrisy of other religions and expect that Hindus should shamelessly repect other religions while other religions direscpect it. Why People are discussing the matters without knowing the actual facts. Here devotees are opposing mentioning of Name of DC. not his position. they should accept the faiths of devotees & should not comment on considering it as a general matter. Are those who are supporting the mentioning of DC's name ready to accept the same thing for others. Will others accept the same thing & ready to lead by some other religions. If they are not ready; then why are they supporting his decision. People should not comment based on political views. it should be purely base on religious views. if a law can be used to defend some issues on particular religion why not on others.

+Charan Kumar Let RSS control the administration of the mosques as Mr Ratan Sharda said & lead the religious processions of the muslims. Then we will see what this pseudo intelligent Arnab, Saad Bin Jung, Former Cricketer Kamaal Farooqui say. RSS are also Indians. So why not they deal with the mosque funds & lead the muslim festivals, Mr Junk & Farooqui ? All are bigots.

if a person is performing his duty then what is the problem just that he is muslim. there are some frige elements on each religion and we have our own thinking so we should be rise above this and think of other issues.. daily we see the debates on these kinds of issues.. kbi kisis hindu leader ne bol diya kbi kisi muslim leader ne kuch bol diya.. they r just making their votebanks. the mai issues to be debated are poverty, unemployment, developement farmer's sucide and what are we doing.. fighting on relegion cast nd dalit botebank.. shame on every leader who use relegion nd musl votebank for their purpose..

+Severus It is true that we are human first and religion came later in our lives to dictate us the ways of leading a noble life and how to shift from rituals to spirituality. However, you must hear this debate very very carefully. The VHP and RSS people are not really objecting of Muslim DC performing his duties but they are having objection for him to lead a Hindu ceremony. You must study the history of Hindu temples after the independence. All Hindu temples are under the control of govt trusts. However, that rule does not apply to masques, Gurdwares and Churches. If these people don't raise their voices NOW, soon Hindu religion will be wiped off from the face of the Earth. . It is a very subtle war of Kurukshetra that was instigated by Krishna himself. Hindus must see that how the conspiracy of the corrupt congress ( minority pleaser) is working in a very subtle way.
