Can I vote for all 3 of them? I know I'm not helping, but all of them are great! Maybe start with Dragon Prince, if you're lucky the fourth season will be available by the time you finish the first three.
Of the shows listed at 1:20, I'm most hopeful for TOH. I'm still hopeful for "Harley Quinn" & "Camp Cretaceous", both of which also have lots of good action, representation, & discussion content for a psych major ;) I also recommend AppleTV+'s "Prehistoric Planet", a new "Planet Earth"-type series w/music by Hans Zimmer, narration by David Attenborough, & the best CGI dinos/prehistoric animals you've ever seen (which would greatly complement CC).
Oil and water can actually mix with the introduction of an emulsifier and I think that might be a metaphor throughout the show. Piltover and Zaun, Vi and Caitlyn, Hextech and Shimmer, none of them "should" work together as we find them in nature. I'm hoping with the introduction of the right conditions, they can and we can enjoy all the amazing characters getting a happy ending 😅
Question, do you think it is a coincidence, that right after he said "there are bigger fish than Silco" it cuts to the Arrival of a Noxian Noble? I think not.
Feel like it's a very relatable moment for many LGBTQ+ people watching. And maybe just relatable in general to anyone who's had a "secret" relationship or a boyfriend/girlfriend that they weren't ready to introduce to their parents. The expressions on Vi and Cait say everything. Probably not the first time Cait has done that either
The transition from the most tender moment in the show, to the most grotesque, is so jarring, and so perfect. (Caitlyn gently touching Vi's face / Jinx contorted in torment.)
Why is everyone so hot in this show?? Even minor characters like Sevika. Everyone is so ATTRACTIVE WTH. Like, Vi?? Mel?? Caitlyn??? Jayce? Y’all have NO business being this pretty wtf. The eyes, the hair, the attitude. I’m in love.
@@JamesHeller-if5kg because in today’s wonderful world of Hollywood you are a sexist and an incel if you’re enjoying looking at beautiful women, “sexy” is a no no too, because apparently it’s toxic and sexualising of women is somehow bad, but only women, it’s ok to do it to men.
21:35 My favorite scene of the entire series. Beyond the glorious fights, beyond the politicking and the drama, is a man finding that he can run for the first time - only for his world to be swept off his feet just moments later.
The rain scene says that Vi’s and Cait’s relationship is oil and water, two things that can’t mix; however, the shower scene suggests that they’re actually blood and water, two things that can mix - just some food for thought 🥰
1. I'm not sure if you guys recognized Skye as the young girl who we saw very briefly in Victor's flashback. He's known her all his life pretty much and she came from the Undercity like he did. 2. A tiny detail I love is when Caitlyn's mother motions for her to go after Caitlyn when she leaves. I love the Caitlyn/Vi relationship... and that moment when Vi really opens up and tells Caitlyn about their time as children is just another sweet moment. Love them both so much!
Wow, I never thought about the Pink and Blue in respect to Shimmer and Hextech (and not the obvious Vi and Cait), and it makes a lot of sense that Viktor, someone that uses both, has a purple theme. That's a great observation.
If I remember well, the completed hex core is orange. He still could add another form of "chimic-magic" to achieve the core... Maybe something to do with the green liquid that Singed use in the game? It could be interesting to explore it in the second season.
I'm so glad we finally get more insight into Mel. Before this episode anyone could have easily placed Mel under a label of someone that was just manipulating everyone around them for their own gain, and while it's true that Mel set the game up so the outcome turns out to be beneficial for her, she also genuinely does want to avoid conflict. We all asumed that she wanted to start a war between Piltover and Zaun when she asked Viktor and Jayce to build Hextech weapons, but the scenes that truly changed my mind on that were the opening scene with her mother and the scene with the Council. Mel's 'sentimentality' that got her banished was truly on full display there, especially when talking about war. I really hope there's more of her in season 2 because it would truly be a waste if that wasn't the case.
as Elora says about her contacts on foreing countries "pilover looks vunerable", evem P1 she was alread the most rich and influential singular person on piltover and began prepare to the international stage.
I really love Mel, she's a great character and she provides some much needed nuance to Noxus. I can't wait to see more of Noxus in season 2. I really hope they introduce Swain.
@@Calder90 They might introduce Camille as another villain too. Along with some of the minor clan leaders and chem barons now that there are power vacuums in both Zaun and Piltover.
@@gazelle_diamond9768 I own a lot of tools. Some I've bought recently, but some are heirlooms from my grandfather, tools he made with his own hands. I love those as much as anyone can reasonably love a tool. Yet somehow, whenever one of them has gotten damaged or scuffed, I have never, not ONCE, kissed them on the forehead. If you think Silco cares about Jinx only, or even mostly, because of her utility to him, you are looking at some things in a very prejudiced manner - because Jinx has not been very useful to him at all, and he KNOWS this. She has been a net detriment to him by causing turmoil in his crew, killing several Enforcers during her little heist (which HE in turn had to spend time, money and effort defusing with Marcus), and causing him concern. Not to mention she downright assaulted him last episode. We just saw Silco, groggy from having been drugged unconscious, pick up a scalpel and threaten Singed out of the mere worry that he had failed to save Jinx' life... and Singed has been not just useful, but INVALUABLE, to Silco's operation. If he's willing to do THAT to an ally that valuable, it seems entirely unreasonable to even THINK that he would remain seated while Jinx stabs him in the cheeks just because he thinks she might prove useful some day. Heck... if Sevika had done something like that, he would have had her killed without a second thought. Silco's outlook on Jinx' future potential is not glee that she'll be able to be useful to him... it's a parent's pride that she is growing and becoming all that she can be. Only a parent would indulge her the way he does.
@@th3voice It's impressive that the writing of this show is so good the obviously evil and manipulative villain still manages to fool some of the audience into believing him.
A common and very probable fan theory about the monster story Vi told Cait is that the real monster that showed up wasn't Silco, it was herself when she hit Powder and demeaned her with the "Jinx" title. There's so many little details that if you go over them again, or watch some breakdowns of the episodes/characters etc that it's absolutely mind blowing at how much love and care they put into this series. For example the scene of Viktor running for the first time: in the background are boats, a call back to him with his toy boat that he could keep up with as a kid, now Viktor is running past the boats in background.
I personally don't buy that theory. It's clear that Vi has a lot of guilt and remorse for what she did to Powder, but I don't think she sees herself as a monster, nor do I think the show is trying to suggest she's one. To me Vi tells Caitlyn the monster story as a way of saying what happened to Powder _was_ her fault because she didn't protect Powder from Silco. Silco is her monster and part of her determination to take him down is to make up for running away the first time.
I see both Vi and Silco as the monsters being a pretty valid view point. I personally think the point of the escalating monster story was to hint that Vi feels that she was the monster, except instead of being able to chase imaginary monsters away, she couldn't chase herself away to save Powder in that moment. When she punch Powder, and saw the blood on her hand, she had a very clear moment of realization of what she had just done and I don't doubt for a second that she wouldn't think of herself as a monster for what she did. I also don't believe the monster she was talking about was the Shimmer punk kid as when he showed up Vi didn't run she tried to fight him, then Shimmer'd Vander killed him before the building collapsed.
@@Fangtorn Recall the line Silco said in Deckar in Chapter 2. "There's a monster inside all of us." In that moment, Violet brought out the beast within.
Kenny so perfectly explained why Silco isn’t using Jinx but just wants what’s best for her even if he is immoral etc. It’s so fun watching them express their differing opinions on shows I really hope this happens more
silco is 100% using her for his own gain, he just happened to grow fond of her, if he actually cared he would not continuously try to erase vi from her life or encourage her to be jinx instead of powder lol honestly i’m concerned for people who cant see through silco
@@shayasims Silco knows, just as well as everyone else, what Sivika said. Jinx is about ask good for their cause as she was for her family. He later says, "What do I lose but problems". The only thing Jinx did that was beneficial was getting the hextech gem, and even then its debatable bc it brought a ton of unwanted attention.
@@shayasims because Silco is damaged, as well: he sees Vi as what Vander was to him, a betraying sibling that only brings painful memories. And, in a way, he's right: every interaction with Vi makes Jinx hurt. Is it healthier to just bury the feeling and, instead, nurture Jinx's socio and psychopathic nature? No, but that's Silco's love language.
"I wish they would've given me something when you went into surgery" The fact that Singed had to drug Silco is proof enough that Silco loves his adopted daughter.
Victor has a couple things going on. His leg problem is something he's had since childhood, and it stayed basically the same; but his lung issue is a degenerative condition that's only gotten debilitatingly bad recently. He tested the mutation on his leg, because losing the leg wouldn't kill him before his lungs did. He only tried replacing his lungs after he knew it worked.
6:05 I know what Kenny meant, but I don’t think he explained it well enough to Montana (which was frustrating because I used to think like her until nearly the end of the show). What truly matters above all is how every single time Jinx causes him trouble, Silco will still ALWAYS deflect blame to someone else, whether that is Sevika or Marcus. Not once did Jinx do as it was expected of her - in fact, the repercussions of her actions are astronomical and sometimes far out-weight the benefits provided -, and yet, she’s still Silco’s number one. Sevika and Marcus are constantly pointing this out (“she’s a problem and we all know it”; “she’s gone too far this time”), for which Silco dismisses and even threatens them. Those aren’t the actions of someone who only sees you as a tool. Those are the actions of someone who loves you. This is clearly a discussion that the show wants to be had (thus, I'm happy that Kenny and Montana disagree at the moment), and, ultimately, I think the answer is a mix of Silco recognizing her potential as both a tool, and as a human being - who he deeply relates to and loves for it.
My read on Silco is that he does care and in his own way love Jinx. The issue is, he has is own abandonment issues which i think show in this episode - where he is willing to do anything to keep her alive, but also previously where Vi coming back scared him to death, coz he knows he could lose Jinx coz of her. I think him and Jinx actually love in a very similar way, very strong but very selfish types of love. Jinx cannot handle the existence of Caitlin coz she is a threat to take her sister away, Silco cant handle Vi coz she is a threat to take Jinx away.
13:34 The Viktor running thing was him finally for the first time in his life being able to run like a normal person as shown in his backstory where he tries to run and he trips. Its a cathartic release for him and pushes him into going further and doing more culminating in this scene where it all goes bad
My vote is for you guys watching owl house out of those choices., I would also suggest watching The Sandman, as in my opinion it is up there with Arcane as one of the best shows ever!
So Silco loves Jinx as much as he can as a father. But note, that he probably NEVER had a caring family either. That's not something that is ever looked into in this show, it's not something that is discussed, but we can guess through how he treats others in general, and where he is now, his family life was never great either. It is DIFFICULT, although not impossible to be a good father, without having a good upbringing yourself. Like I said, it's not impossible to be a good person and good parent, but it is more difficult. (A real life example of someone who turned out to be a good father to his children without having a good upbringing is Eminem). So I think Silco genuinely tries to show her love and care, the best ways he knows how. Not only is she in a high position in his faction, but he takes special care of her, pretty much gives her the freedom to do whatever she wants for the most part, lets her get away with more than he would others (where he would just probably kill others if they did the things Jinx does with him), trusts her 100% with both dangerous, and sensitive things he wouldn't let others know or do. Not only that, but he gives her guidance when needed, confidence when needed, and stern words as well when she does do something that is over the line. So Tl;dr, Silco trusts Jinx, cares for her, and loves her, but may not show it in traditional ways as he himself is a broken person with a hard past.
about Silco: I am not sure _he_ sees it as eplotative. He _believes_ in the Nation of Zaun. Everything he does is for the greater good. Whenever he 'uses' Jinx, In his mind she is fighting for a righteos cause. Same with the babtism scene: Silco _believes_ that this will heal her, make her fully Jinx and bury Powder once and for all. He equates his own self with Jinx, which speaks to a certain amount of dissconect, but not malice. He cannot see that Jinx and he are fundamentally different and have very different approaches to trauma. Jinx doesn't care about Zaun. I don't think that has _ever_ been a priority for her. She cares about her immediate surroundings. SHe wants to prove herself to Silco, she _wants_ to be loved and Silco is giving her what she needs in that regard. What she _doesn't_ want is confronting her trauma, which would be waht she _needs_ to do to heal, preferrably with a licenesd Therapist....
Jinx has always felt a need to prove herself to her family ... be that Vi when she was younger, or Silco currently. When she killed enforcers, it was to prove her worth to her 'family' (again, Silco). And I agree, I see no evidence that she really cared a great deal about Zaun or revolution... and even referred to the gemstone as 'that stupid stone.' Regardless, her little murder sprees are certainly not due to Silco using her as an assassin (which strangely some people still cling to as his motive w/ Jinx). As for confronting her trauma, that'd be nice. Silco could use a therapist as well. Heimerdinger probably should see one too... maybe get a session on how time works and how humans tend to not live forever... Unfortunately the only licensed medical professionals in Zaun are that that toothy potion maker who needs to find a new office after Vi destroyed her neighborhood... and Dr Singed and his cave of horrors.
So I just realized something about that scene with Jinx hallucinating while getting injected with shimmer.. in the part where she visualizes Caitlyn while Singed is telling her "I'm afraid this will only get worse," I always thought it was just her mind making her believe Caitlyn was enjoying torturing her.. but then I realized that even tho Singed was trying to save her, he also probably remembers that she's the one that caused the explosion that burnt his entire body, making him be more ruthless during the process even if it did end up reviving her...
I would absolutely ADORE an Owl House watch through by you two. I think y’all would love it, and I think it would open up many folks to a series they might not have checked out!!
I love how they make us question ourselves after the Vi and Jace battle scene. We cheer for them but once the kid dies we feel guilty for doing so and are confronted with how war always has the innocent suffer the most. So the battle isn't glorified in any way
Silco very much cares about jinx. But hes a monster so what his version of love is is warped. So...its still not good. Hes a crime boss. So what his version of love is is not going to be healthy or even actual love arguably. But he does clearly love her to whatever is the actual capacity is for him to do Also seeing jace's knees almost buckle when he realizes the factory workers were all kids...oof
If it helps when deciding the next show to watch, Netflix just announced a new season of Dragon Prince coming in November. It's a fantastic show, and you could be right in time for it to drop!
It might be hard to go to a beautifully animated show like Arcane to a show with really sub-par animation. Maybe they should wait a few shows before watching in order to avoid quality whiplash.
The amount of story that there's left to tie up in the last ep is ridiculous, even more so the fact that they manage to do it so well. What a great show.
Yes, first season took 6 years but creators already said that second season is not gonna take that much time. Is not gonna be ready for this year, but probably for 2023 or 2024. Since they already have everything that took a big part of that time: backgrounds, character's design, etc. And probably they already had planned and scripted the second season long time ago. Also, on the meantime, you can watch "Bridging The Rift" a Making of Arcane mini documental on League of Legends RU-vid channel. It's amazing!
Interesting you have a 'Jayce hasn't been to the undercity' counter despite it being mentioned in the first episode that he has. He bought equipment from Benzo and Ekko followed him home, that's how Ekko got the tip for the heist at the beginning. Surprised you didn't talk about the "real monster" Vi was talking about, because deep down she didn't mean Silco.
A Little background of a region that Mel comes from, she is from Noxus and Noxus is known for a strenght and absorbing nations, this is probably what you saw in the beggining of this episode Noxus attacked some nation and the girl that was killed was some kind of ruler, Noxus values strenght over anything, you prove that you are strong enough and they will gave you everything
The scene with Heimerdinger and the little girl hurts so much. It shows that This City is _chockful_ of Inventors. This little girl is scrapping and he just ignited her curiosity. Maybe now she'll want to find out how and learn herself. But her mothers mistrust and defnesiveness show us that this will probably be stifled quickly, because when you need to survive, there is no time to explore.
Loved the parallel of Viktor couldn’t run after the toy boat when he was younger and now being able to run with the boats in the background. Sky (his lab assistance) was also the the girl in his backstory. You can hear other kids calling her name.
actually season 2 is already done being animated, you should watch ARCANE-BRDIGING THE RIFT which is a 5 part making of documentary on leagues youtube channel, which also goes into detail as to why this show took so long (finding the right people for certain things, the show not being green lit that fast and almost canceled, and fortiche also needed more time to develop their animation style/system, etc) and is also worth it because it gives more context to the effort that went into this from the beginning) and at some point in part 5 they say that season 2 is done being animated so editing, sound etc will take some time but since fortiche already figured out the animation its not like they start completely from scratch which is why it "only" took them a year to animate the second season (also they had to massively hire for arcane and season 2 was pretty quickly announced and green lit so they probably will keep the staff, saving them even more time)- im guessing some time 2023 probably later down the year but id be surprised if it released in 2024
@@silver9wolf6 in episode 5 of briding the rift at 17:08 they mention that theyre on the trip visiting fortiche trying to lock down the final episodes of season 2 (if you didnt know fortiche is the animation studio behind arcane, if im not wrong everything else is done in house with riot games)
@@LS-tk7hp Ok, I remember that part! I just thought they were still in the story phase since the scene after is Alex and Amanda talking about figuring out the season ending. I think they still consult with Fortiche before they start animating so Riot can make sure what they're proposing is possible :) But I'm sure they're getting closer now 🤞Hopefully a release next year! 😃
The worst thing about Mama Medarda's decision to kill the girl? She was probably right. History is FULL of examples of conquerors showing mercy to the former depot, only for them to come back later as the leader of a rebellion. So she's not wrong about only one needing to die vs potential thousands. It's the fucked up reality of a warfaring state. Also, being a warfaring state in the first place is fucked up, but that's another discussion entirely. Oh, an addon: It's not even necessarily the old leader's fault for the rebellion. An example is Toyotomi Hideyori from early 17th century Japan. He was the son of the former leader of Japan, and the one who took over (Tokugawa Ieyasu) allowed him to live and simply sent him away (Hideyori was a young child when it all went down). However, over time a bunch of the prominent lords who had been on the losing side when Tokugawa took over began to rally behind the grown-up Hideyori, using him as their symbolic right to rebel. Hideyori seems to have been pretty hesitant about the whole thing, but he ended up being the lords' excuse to begin stirrings of rebellion in the name of restoring the Toyotomi to their 'rightful' place as leaders of Japan. Tokugawa saw what was happening and deliberately provoked Hideyori in order to get him to take a stance, and he ended up choosing rebellion. Thus Tokugawa had two of the last great sieges of the era. In the end he was victorious, Hideyori committed seppuku, and Tokugawa had Hideyori's wife and children killed to avoid any future problems of the same sort from occurring. Fucked up, yet his decision led to 250 years of peace in Japan. Another addon: *spoilers for last episode* the Council was wrong, but so was Vi. She was blinded by her own perception and hatred of Silco, and her desire to get Powder back. She said that Silco couldn't be talked to, and yet in the very next episode he goes to negotiations with Jayce. Not only that, but if it wasn't for the demand of turning over Jinx, Silco probably would have gone through with it. So, while it's easy to side with Vi, since she's basically the main character (along with Jinx), she's actually very much wrong there. She doesn't care about what's best for the undercity in that meeting, she just wants Silco to get taken down so she can get her sister back. And as the real kicker, the *only* reason Jacye demanded Jinx is because Vi ratted her out to the council. Also, technically Jayce HAS been to the Undercity. It started the whole plot, in fact. He went down to Benzo's shop to buy illegal stuff for his experiments, leading to Little Man giving Vi the tip to rob him.
-- SPOILERS -- "And as the real kicker, the only reason Jacye demanded Jinx is because Vi ratted her out to the council" Yep, and I have yet to see a single reactor comment in their videos when Vi gives up her sister's name. It's a betrayal... but for whatever reason most people just let it slide. I guess because Vi is coded as the hero, so it's assumed she is 'right'. Pretty much everything she did at that council meeting was wrong. Her plan was stupid, she was wrong about Silco negotiating, and by giving up her sister's name, she, well, put her on the council's radar. She was blinded by her hatred of Silco. And the thing is, I can't say she was even doing it to get her sister back at that point -- I mean what was her plan, to bring down Silco, get her sister back (somehow)... then since she ratted out her sister, watch her get arrested and rot in jail? It's not like the council is going to let it slide just because Vi called her 'Jinx' instead of 'Powder'. Somehow I doubt that works as a defense in a court of law.
Just realized the council meeting is the only time in the series Vi calls her sister Jinx. Goes to show the disconnect she has between the two and how she refuses to acknowledge they are one and the same. It wasn't her sister Powder who was responsible, it is as Silco's pet Jinx who did it.
I just realized that sky was going to talk to viktor because she had a project in mind and she wanted his opinion, so what the heck was she working on??? I hope they reveal it in season 2
The choice to have a huge action scene that makes your blood pump and has a song to hype you up, amazing choreography and animation to just end it abruptly by having one of our main characters end the life of a child was absolutely brutal. It really makes the fact that all of the workers in Silco's Shimmer factories are children hit so much harder and is the entire reason for all of Jayce's actions in the final episode.
viktor was trying to transform more of his body the way he did to his leg, also kenny is right on the money about Silco, so many people see Silco as a villain and so they make assumptions about his character and make him more 2 dimensional than he is based on their expectations of what a villain like him would normally be
I always thought it was funny that people hate Jayce because of his decisions and way of thinking when vi one of the most loved characters has almost the same way of thinking
Except that Jayce learns Vander's lesson really quickly and tries to do the same thing Vander did - make a deal with the other side to avoid more bloodshed. Vi is not there yet, she wants to fight whatever it takes. It's ironic that she says Silco will never back down when that's very much her approach as well.
Its not exactly the same since vi actually lived in the impoverished side while Jayce has only lived with privilege. I think that makes all the difference really, plus Jayce is actually in a position of power to change things ( and tbf he does try but he's to naive about what actually goes on in the undercity until its too late). I think that's my main problem with Jayce cause unlike a similar naive character like Caitlyn, he's been friends with Viktor for years but somehow is still blind about the horrors of the undercity.
@@km9833 obviously they come from different places but that doesn't automatically mean that their way of doing things are good because they are or aren't from a privilege standpoint, also Jayce has only been in the committee for like a few months and immediately when he sees something is wrong he stops doing it, in just a year he started seeing dead people, being one of the most important people in the city, getting a handful of information hard to process and more, I think honestly think he handled things so much better than majority of people
Mel is such a complicated character when you see what she could have been she said that she did not live up to her family standards a couple of times but to understand what that meant when you see her mom and how ruthless she wanted her daughter to be
When Silco runs towards Jinx, it zooms on his human eye, not the mechanical one. I think that's a deliberate choice to show how vital she is to what little humanity he has left
The bridge scene is what made Silco consciously realize he cares about Jinx. Before that, he likely explained away his feelings for her as recognition of her skill and intellect. Edit: To clarify, I am not saying Silco did not care for Jinx before the bridge. I am saying he did not CONSCIOUSLY REALIZE that he did until he saw his daughter dying on the ground.
I think he cared about her from the time he accepted her in episode three. Why else raise a child he was planning on killing, who has no particular utility? It may be the first time he realizes how much he cares about her though.
@@Hohum37 He cared for her like a skilled subordinate. At least, that's how he justified it to himself. It wasn't until he saw her dying on the bridge that Silco's thoughts went from; -"She is a genius."- To; "She is my daughter."
The evidence doesn't really support that, to be honest. We can see how he treats her in episode 4... different than Sevika. He expresses concern for her in a fatherly way in the previous episode where he wanted to go look for her. He has knick-knacks on his desk, a mug and ashtray, made by a younger Powder with her designs on them ... very much like a father would. It's not like he viewed her simply as a tool, or just appreciated her skills/intellect. If that was the case, he would have treated her in a very different manner previously. And he'd probably not undermine his crimeboss persona in front of his underlings with a Jinx-y coffee mug sitting right on his desk. -- SPOILERS -- If you have watched the entire show, you can see how he really feels about Jinx. There are multiple scenes demonstrating his love for her in the final episode. To say he just 'all of a sudden' realized he cared for Jinx, after 7 years of raising her, and after everything in the final episode... well, that'd be nonsensical.
@@Mi_Z Silco never CONSCIOUSLY realized he cared for Jinx until the bridge. It was always there subconsciously but seeing her dying broke down any walls he had from that realization hitting him full force.
I completely agree. I feel like up until the day he died he didn't quite understand fully what he was doing. He was caring for her on autopilot. The bridge followed by Jayce's ultimatum later brought his character to completion.
I think Dragon Prince would be a good follow-up. It's got a feel and connection to Avatar (a few references too). Since Avatar is at least where I started watching you guys, it would fit well, plus the characters are very open to analysis, so Montana would have good input. (Owl House is great too though)
8:00 when you get caught sneaking in your secret girlfriend and your parents have a history of catching you >.> (feel like many LGBTQ+ people could relate to this) 20:26 when mom approves ;) Speaking on Vi and Kait, this episode is titled "Oil and Water", things that don't mix together at all as Vi points out. However, in the final scene while Kaitlyn is showering, Blood (drawn red, much like Vi) and Water (drawn Blue, much like Kaitlyn) are mixing together easily. Maybe a metaphor for their relationship and the war about to come?
Another detail to point out about silco feelings for jinx he has two big strong men with him but HE HIM SELF chose to pick up jinx and carry her him self that says a lot about how he feels he only trust him self to carry her and he wants her close in that moment there is genuine loves her she is his daughter also why in episode 4 he defended jinx when his Lieutenant was bad mouthing her he loves her for sure
Mel's mom, as nasty as she is, immediately assessed the situation in Piltover and predicted what would happen. The carrot works great when it works. Sometimes the stick is the only tool for the job though.
You were wondering what sort of occupation the Medardas have that makes them so much richer than Mel. Now you have your answer. Warlords. Also, Silco is like the opposite of Aang. Aang was a good person, but a terrible father. Silco is a terrible person but a good father to Jinx. I almost can’t decide between the three shows you said you wanted to do next, because I love all three of them, but I barely think Dragon Prince should win the vote.
The entire reason Silco is as nuanced and praised as a character so much is that he is shown to *genuinely love* Jinx. He is a bad father and even worse man, but his love for Jinx is genuine, despite how twisted and toxic it is for both of them. I feel like the writers did him a great service by not having him betray and leave Jinx once she was no longer useful to him just because 'he's the bad guy and that's what bad guys do.' I absolutely despise him as a person but he is absolutely one of the best characters of the show.
Second season won't take 6 years because they now have a story which they didn't before Season 1 and 3D Animation cuts down time a lot once you have made your models of characters and architecture. Unless they are introducing a complete set of new characters in a new location, it's going to be much easy.
