A major part of the joke here is actually the line that Vi says... it's from this old video I remember stumbling upon by accident when I was like six years old called "Elmo kills Barney". In the video Elmo is about to shoot Barney in the head with a sniper rifle. Barney starts singing the "I Love You" song, but Elmo then says the legendary line and shoots him. I remember finding the video one day when I was home sick... I was just searching up stuff like "spongebob kills dora" and etc... I learned a new bad word that day. But anyways, that's the little bit of context behind this video.
