Via Francigena from Tuscany to Roma - Italy bike touring

Hi, i cycled 9 days. It's not the easiest way possible, but you can choose to ride on alternative routes if a part is not ok for your bike

the cycle path along tiber was good and separated from cars. we needed a GPS to reach it. Maybe people who say it's difficult to enter Rome, they did the route for walking pilgrims from La Storta to Monte Mario.

Per allenamento ti consiglio di fare alcune uscite nelle settimane precedenti, anche con salite, con lunghezza anche maggiore di quelle che faresti durante le tappe della via francigena. L'assetto è a scelta, l'importante è avere una bici che consente di fare lo sterrato, altrimenti ti perdi tutte le parti più belle. se segui il percorso tracciato per le biciclette non è un terreno difficile (asfalto/strade bianche). poi ci puoi mettere un portapacchi con le borse, come avevo io, oppure le borse da telaio stile "bikepacking" ma quello fa poca differenza

I have to disagree. This is so much better than all those videos made by some English or German guy who gets all the place names wrong. This is where I'm planning to go next summer -- Chris in California.
