For those who doubt Sebastian's singing abilities, it's clear: he can definitely sing. His voice resonates akin to Lemmy Kilmister's on "Troglodyte," and sometimes I hear Joe Strummer in his voice, he reflecting a style imbued with the post-punk, artsy influences of the 80s. His delivery encompasses a spoken word poetic style, infused with electronic synth, mumbles, barks, and a satirical, don't-give-a-damn attitude. They revel in being labeled as weirdos, fully embracing their unconventional nature. In the realm of Viagra Boys, Sebastian is irreplaceable; his rendition of their songs adds a unique flavor that would lack interest if sung by anyone else. He epitomizes our generation's punk rocker, embodying the essence of Punk!
I have not, since I had the privilege of playing tenor sax with the legendary VON LMO, loved a band as much as these Viagra Boys!! And, boy, we sure need them now!!! SKRATTER SKRONK ROCK 4 EVUH!!!!
This show was lots of fun! Thanks for recording for posterity. How is it that damn near every show I've gone to in the past 15 years you manage to have been there as well? I want your job and/or your level of free time. I also want your wallet to get into all of these concerts!
I discovered them just the month before and they instantly became my favorite band. I had planned to go to this show, but couldn't cuz I was broke and didn't get paid from my new job until Friday, but the show was on Tuesday. I'm really glad you recorded this so I can pretend I'm there.
He just slowly emerged on the stage in Seattle in March of ‘23, swigged a beer and went, “Okay, let’s get this over with”. Lmao dude had been touring for awhile. Still sounded great.
Happily surprised that they used "Jan Johansson - Visa från Utanmyra" as a intro Another Swedish band called LOK use the song as a intro as well Skål från Sweden.
every now, and then you find an artist either word-of-mouth… or you get lucky enough to see greatness live on stage in Seattle…I was totally blown away by these guys. I’m going to be a fan of theirs …for life. And I can’t wait to see what they do next.
@@rickybaillie4222 Indianapolis, they are opening for queens of the Stone Age that I don’t give a shit about, but that won’t stop me. Looking forward to seeing an entire show someday.
alright, i need some help. the boys are playing some seriously amazing electronic music between the opener and when they come on stage. i tried to shazam one of the songs at the time but nothing came back. does anyone know even just one of the songs they have been playing? i just need an artist or a song so that i can determine the precise sub genre and find other music like it. really cool shit, been haunting my dreams, please help!
I really like these guys& I hope the singer is ok. He's not looking well& he was kinda ranting...the drummer just started playing while he was trying to talk. Idk, he seems like a good guy & makes me sad.
