I myself have two beater amps that I have broken down and cleaned with Deoxit and just basically looked everything over (not really knowing what I was looking at but have the general idea) They each have issues and are projects in mind for myself. Do you usually get the circuit diagram direct from the company or how do you go about it. I'm proficient in soldering but what tools should I consider outside of a soldering iron, if I was looking to really break them down and fix them properly? Really fun episode though and I look forward to the next one 🤘
Hey that’s a great video idea. For schematics google schematic heaven. There is a a Great book actually two books “the guitar amplifier schematic bible” volume 1 and 2. A decent quality name brand soldering iron or station, not a gun. I use the Wes51 station that may be a little pricey for the tinker but just search around. A solder sucker or de-solder gun and or cooper braid is essential. I like to use liquid flux. A decent quality digital multi meter, probably about $100 should get you all that you need for a DMM. Build a Light bulb limiter.
@@ChesapeakeRepair thank you kind sir and I appreciate the quick response!! Be well and that would definitely be an episode I would be interested in. Either way, peace 🤘
