RIP James Darren. You may no longer be with us but Vic Fontaine will remain in our Trekker hearts and will also be available in all Starfleet's holodeck 🙏
Rest in Peace to the late great James Darren. Thank-you for making DS9 such a fun and entertaining show with your presence. May you rest among the stars ✨
What a credit to Jimmy's talent. There's absolutely no way that character should have worked but somehow it did. He played it straight and you can tell he really enjoyed the role. I live in the area where he grew up and attended a school that he did. My folks were big into the crooners from that era and always were playing his records. Thank you and RIP
Mr. Darren, thank you for all of your artistic contributions that you gave to us over your career! Godspeed! The Way You Look Tonight on DS9 was my absolute favorite!
The little pun about the Bajoran prosthetic, using the song lyrics when singing to Kira, 'wrinkle your nose', was great, look at the grin on her face. In the episodes with James Darren singing, you could see the cast were having a whale of a time, especially when Avery Brooks sang with Darren.
A scene from probably the best Star Trek "Finale" ... DS9. Lots of the DS9 writers/producers/directors sitting in the crowd in the night club. Nana Visitor (Kira) could NOT make it thru this scene without breaking down crying .. and I admit, I did too when I saw this. DS9 was an incredible 'voyage' for Trek Fans. I cherish my CD copy of "This One's From The Heart", which I had James Darren autograph for me at a Con.
It pretty much was. Star Trek was still at its peak (just) with DS9. Star Trek was suffering from franchise fatigue come DS9, and it was really apparent in Voyager and Enterprise. Trek should have taken a break after Voyager. Enterprise almost killed the franchise, not because it was bad, but because people were tired of it.
Jimmy is one of the best crooners we ever had!!! His voice has a certain something that is just pure ear candy!! Bear in mind that this is live. There aren't many artists that sound like this live. It is the true test of any singer.
Gives me shivers and brings a tear to my eye! It's an end to a saga, just knowing the facts that the characters came together as a family, the actors came together as a family, and you feel like a part of the show!!!
DS9 was what I grew up with. This always makes me sad because I know it's the end and I have no more to watch. Voyager was OK and I love Enterprise. But DS9 was the apex
On season 7 now...just watched Bada Bing Bada Bang. Didn’t think I would like it this much. Had to get Paramount + to finish this series. Looking forward to how the series ends.
Compaired to the TNG and the Voyager Series Finales, DS9 had the best series finale. I mean, you literally got to say goodbye to all of the characters.
DS9 had great success in all aspect of all kinds of from high tech gadgets and amazing concept that made us imagine things we would have never thought of, but its the simple things that we really enjoyed the most is the humanity part of the show.. can anyone mention a episode that with so much clear recollection as much as we do with Vic’s?
Como eu amava você, na série O TÚNEL DO TEMPO. Você com aquela blusa verde de cola rolê. Eu com meus 15 anos, não perdia um filme ❤❤ Vá com Deus meu caro 😢😢😢
