Our December '22 4x4 holiday through southern NSW and VIC high country.
Highlight tracks were: Blue Rag, Billy Goat Bluff and Haunted Stream Tracks.
Each track was fantastic, and you'll need basic 4x4 equipment, Haunted Stream had 54 creek crossings and was a little technical so be sure to bring a buddy truck, 4x4 gear and give it 1 or 2 days to do.
On our way down we checked out (and highly recommend) the Glow Worm Tunnel and Dry Canyon in Wollemi NP, just inland of the Blue Mountains.
We saw snow, mid December in VIC which was crazy.
