Round 1- Victor Round 2- Issei Round 3- Victor I will take originality, musicality, and downrock any day over a powerhead, issei is probably more talented than victor, but powermoves kind of get old after a while, he needs to develop either more variations in his powermoves or develop his top rock and downrock to be the total package. It was a superb battle and they are the future of breakdancing along with Sunni and Lil Zoo.

Don't forget that style always wins over power. I agree that Issei was much cleaner overall, but I easily get tired watching him power through everything.

I sometimes forget how much Issei has improved since his early years, it's scary how he has been able to add style , flow and dance into his power.

I like victors musicality I think that is why the judges picked him.

for me this was the best phase of Victor

cont. on thier hands, our 1990s involve spinning on the palm of the hand, which is almost impossble on a gymnastic pylo floor, + yes, we took the flare from gymnastics, but we acknowledged it, and some bboys still call it the thomas flare and on top of that we created dozens of variations. gymnasts took the airflare from bboying (creator bboy pablo flores), and didnt acknowledged its roots, in fact, the first gymnast to achieve the airflare paul hamm, changed its name to the "hamminator"

Look guys, I think it's safe to say that no one of us can say the judges were wrong. We don't have the experience and the hours of practice behind us to be able to tell the difficulty of a set. Stop dissing either of these incredibly hard workers to protect the honor of your favorite.

With the exception of 1990s and swipes, you're pretty much spot on. (1990s came from handstand pirouettes in both gymnastics and Capoeira, swipes can be seen from early martial arts that Shaolin monks practiced).

Even if Issei got robbed, sick battle nonetheless. Glad that Issei still showed showmanship toward Vicious Vic!

actually the only power move we took was the flare. windmills, airlfares, barrell mills, halos, headspins, munchmills, 1990s, 2000s, chairflares, swipes, UFOs shoulders spins and others all originated from bboys, although i agree vic had more musicality and deserved to win whilst issei just threw down 3 solid drilled sets, power is a key element of bboying, and you shouldnt dismiss power as unoriginal and gymnastics, watch isseis sets again carefully , they really are amazing and original(3:09)

it could of went both ways, Vicious Vic hit each and every beat on point, and was confident with his power moves while staying clean, i love musicality, Issei went hard, loved by everyone, sick ass power moves. I'd probably give it to Vic also for the dope ass musicality. hate me all you want.

I was so sad, when I learned Issei and Vicious were matched up for first round. I was hoping both would be in different brackets and end up in the finals ):

All these people that say vicious didn't win just think he didn't because issei had more power and flashy moves, when they don't realize issei barely did any footwork and footwork is the only part of breaking that is original, power is from gymnastics. in my opinion vicious won because he had more originality and more overall combos.

nah, issei basically used most of his big moves here, he would of lost to HILL even if he won here

actually yes i am young (17) but i seem to be more mature than you.actually windmills were created by Crazy Legs of the Rock Steady Crew, when he overthrew a chair freeze into a backspin, gymnasts do a have a move called the windmill, though it is completely different and done off the ground, same with 1990s, i have some gymnastics mates turned trickers/bboys and they agree that the "hand pirouette" is completely different to a bboys, either its done on uneven bars or walking around in a circle/

In my personal opinion I think it was a tie...... In terms of power moves it was obviously issei, but in terms of footwork and other things it was vicious Vic. I'm not putting down either one of these guys, both of them are extremely creative with everything and I think they both executed it well in this battle......... Issei is only like 13 or 14 and he is already on BC one. I don't know how old vicious Vic is but I'm guessing he is in the range of 16-18. They have tons of experience awaiting!!

I actually have a feeling why Issei lost... While he's got stronger powermoves, Vic's powermoves are more confident, and he pulled them off with style, almost as if they were footwork. Vic's bits were more entertaining to watch from a dancers perspective, while Issei's were acrobatic and thrilling.

No sure if the video brings it across enough but for Issei to have lost this, it must have appeared that his powermoves weren't hitting the beat, whereas VVic was beatriding

Ok I understand the bboy history and everything but at the same time Issei was not only being more athletic he was rocking to the beat before he started his flares and spins like I know most true bboys do. Also the crowd to me is what makes a battle and he had them from start to finish.

vicious victor did more than just the flare. even in his first set he did a variety of powermoves like windmill, suicide, halos, and swipes. i also did think vicious victor should have won since vicious victor threw down some of his best sets while issei was obviously trying to save up his moves. he usually does his first and last set together.

I think judging was good. Issei brought sick clean power, but not alot else. Was on beat, but didn't really kill it, his sets lacked inventiveness. Vic was obviously more sloppy, but his sets were inventive and he changed it up, had a bit of everything. I agree with judges after watching for the second time.

Dope battle! Could have gone either way for me. Vic was more rounded with better musicality, Issei had better power and was cleaner!

Issei did more than just do power sets. You guys need to open your eyes. Vic had some pretty short sets and was too safe.

issei yes did have some hard combos, but vicious got this one forsure, he threw just as difficult moves all to the music, with more style and flavor and confidence. issei did his moves, but it was obvious he was just runnin sets, if he was doin it to the music he wouldnt repeat the same move over right after not on beat (example, hits the beat 3:15 which would be dope if he planned it, but then does it again right after at 3:18 with no beat, totally negating the musicality effect)/ less energy

Vic totally deserved this win, being a b-boy isn't just being able to do all those power moves Issei did..In my opinion Vic was fluid with his moves and it actually seemed like true b-boying compared to Issei

First set, VV got it.

First round issei couldn't get his freezes on beat. He also bit taisuke with the 2000's. His third set he ended it with the same freeze from his second set. Seriously people? Victor took this.

Vic won because he killed the beat and his first few freezes were sick and on beat... Also Issei repeated the same freeze in the second and third round. besides Issei threw everything he had into this battle, he would have had no more moves for the next rounds.

Vic had outstanding musicality & character but a killoff is a killoff issei was knocking killoff moves back to back,, hard battle but my way edges towards Issei

ok, i agree that vicious victor won, but how can you be so stubborn saying footwork is the ONLY original thing about bboying. And powermoves are not from gymnastics, most of them have been created by bboys and stolen by gymnasts for example the airflare (or Hamminator as they call it) open your eyes man! theres so much more to bboying than footwork.

Vicious Vic killed the beat more than Issei , I think it was good judging.
