I got a question I have a lawnmower. I am collect old school 50s Victa already got three lawn mowers one I just got a question how do you take off and a not the bladesa And bolt the deck on a on the lawn mower and I'm only 18 and I'm doing it up my 59s one run but could you make a video on to take a the bolt off just to show me how to do it
Gday Shayne. Firstly can I say well done for showing an interest in these old mowers. They are part of history and Australian culture and its great that a guy your age is doing restorations on these or any old machine for that matter. Don't let anyone discourage you! Mate I can't do another video as this mower was never mine to begin with, I was merely doing it up for a friend. If I understaned you correctly are you referring to the central nut on the blade holding disc, if so these are held on by a Nylock nut and they will be tight nearly all the way when you undo them. An impact gun helps to make this easy but be sure to disconnect the spark plug as it may start if its rotated. The nuts that hold the blades are similar so its easier just to cut them as you get new ones with the blades. I hope this helps if not let me know. Keep up the good work.
