I remember doing a paper over Dracula in college. It was a very memorable read. I totally get wanting to do all the readathons! I plan on doing Anne-Tober this year! (Super excited!)
Dracula is great!! I've not read Sylvia's Lovers yet but I own it. Yes! I don't read much poetry but I definitely want to read the book that has all of their poetry in it.
Victober is my top priority, too! I'm so excited that I've already started one! 😂I need to join the Spurgeon read along because I actually read him throughout the year already. It would be great to have others to share thoughts. Oh, Dickensland sounds great! I'm going to see if I can find a copy of that one.
Sylvia’s Lovers has been a great read! I started it a week ago, I couldn’t wait till October 😂 I need to get my hands on Dickensland! I have never been to London but it’s on my bucket list.
I just discovered your channel, Anne, though I think we're friends on Goodreads! I'm looking forward to watching your videos on Ruth. I loved that novel! Dickensland sounds fascinating. Happy reading in October!
I agree, there's always so many good readathons and it's hard to pick and choose. I loved Secret Diaries of Charlotte Bronte 😍 I hope you enjoy it too! I actually read The Glass Town Game earlier this year, which is about the Brontes' stories actually coming true.
Oh, good to know about the Secret Diaries. I read Glass Town Game last year during Victober and I really enjoyed it. It's the only graphic novel (I've not read many!) that I genuinely enjoyed for itself. It was so well done.
@@MamaKatFrog Sweet! What app do you have where we could discuss? I've used Goodreads, Storygraph, Instagram, and Voxer for buddy reads. Any of them will do the trick!
You will love it! I've read the entire series, and I'm on pins and needles waiting for the movie to come out, hoping that it's even marginally as good as the book. They have Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan as main characters. The characters are so wonderfully quirky and work together so well in spite of their vast differences. It's just a fun read.
@_just_sherry_2759 I love to hear it! I got it from Libby months ago, but had too many books going on and didn't get to it. Sounds like a perfect fall read!
@@Jess-pagesandgrace let's do it! Maybe about halfway through October we can start it? The victober group read goes through the 18th, so maybe we could start on the 19th?
