@@TrumpCantRead "Ignorance & arrogance are a lethal combination. Nowhere do we see that more clearly among writers & performers who pontificate as historians when they know nothing about history."
yes he is. however, I have never been for entrance exams for a place who is supposed to teach. Character is much more important. And I did so well in college while working, graduating magn cum laud in a math-based curriculum. The only thing that would have said I would do well would have been when I was 4 yo.
@TrumpCantRead History teaches patterns of behavior that are fact, not opinion! The patterns of behavior that are noted by a historical scholar aren't opinions! You can plabla about opinions but if the sun doesn't rise in the morning, what you going to do? The sun doesn't have to rise tomorrow! God decides! It's all about faith in God and his plan of redemption! See 👀! God bless you for sharing your thoughts!
I haven't read Victor's book, and I really don't need to. History is replete with examples. The Roman Empire, the British Empire, and The Grecian Empire. Most of these, if not all, only existed for about 200-250 years in their prime before descending into chaos and apathy. The ancient Spartans were believed to have mothers tell their sons ""Come back with your shield - or on it" (Plutarch, Mor.241) was supposed to be the parting cry of mothers to their sons." When that fell into disuse, so did the Spartans. There are many examples today in our own society. Seventy-five years ago, the United States was the most powerful, most well-educated and most prosperous country in the World! Look how far we've fallen in 75 years. We are either 13th or 18th ranked worldwide in education, our manufacturing base is gone, our imports far exceed our exports. We have an annual deficit of more than 1 TRILLION dollars. We are, literally going down the drain. In the mid 1970s, our education system shifted from 'Education' to 'Indoctrination.' This was the point where the U.S. went over the cliff. As a believing Christian, much of that involved the U.S. in the previous 15-20 years turning away from God. One had a huge effect on the other. Coming up on 50 years later, we are finally reaching rock bottom. We are about to fully impact the canyon floor. We aren't going to be like Wile E. Coyote who just gets up and walks away, even if he does look like an accordion. I believe we are on the verge of the Second American Revolutiont, but what that will look like, I don't know. I'm hoping it's a financial and societal change instead of outright armed conflict, but I'm not sure about that, either. What I do believe is it happens next year, and there's nothing we can do to stop it. If it is a financial and societal change, an abrupt 180º turn, that may be a good thing. The liberal portion of the country may face a huge backlash, and they may go into hiding (but of course, they'll never go away). Our country is on the very verge of a huge internal upset, a total reconfiguration of society as we know it. I wish I had the clarity to see how it's going to turn out. Open, armed insurrection, or people waking up and resolving their cranial/rectal inversion.
God chose Biden. Bless you for admitting it PRAISE JESUS AND HIS LIBERAL HEART!! JESUS LOVES ALL TRANSSEXUALS! JESUS LOVES ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS! JESUS LOVES THE HOMELESS!!!
You're a brilliant scholar and normally very astute Victor, but I don't think he cares if we know what he's doing or not. His strings are pulled by the west wing and Kalorama Dist and those arrogant people know many of us know exactly what they are doing and they get off on it because we can't do anything about it - or we simply won't.
Victor David Hanson and Thomas Sowell (in spite of his age) should be part of Trump’s administration - surely they could fulfill a number of roles, any of which would be good for America!
@@TrumpCantRead taken out of what he said....but left screams as always....your controlled, might want to go look in the mirror, if your saying anything about Trump
I can suggest that if the United States abandoned sanctions against Chinese banks when they work with the Russian Federation, Iran, and probably Venezuela, then perhaps there would be a chance to harmonize tariff policy between the United States and China. At the moment the US has a truly unilateral policy. Hypothetically, in the future the US could default on its Chinese securities. This can probably now be prevented.
The only American who won't acknowledge this Administration's failed economic policies is Joe Biden. "Shrink-flation' is the least of our worries compared to rising rents and stagnant wages, but it is an undeniable indicator of how bad our inflation has gotten. I have $100k that i like to invest in a non-retirement account, any advice on that?
It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.
Your adviser must be really good, I hope it's okay to inquire if you're still collaborating with the same adviser and how I can get in touch with them?
Finding financial advisors like Melissa Terri Swayne who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
