I bought one in the mid 70's and owned it until December 2023. I put it away in 1985 because of the cd craze and dug it out in November of 2022. I installed and calibrated an Audio Technica VM540M arguably maxing out what the tonearm had to offer. The sound was superb until the volume was increased enough for the base to shake the plinth enough to cause enough rumble to make it unlistenable. This was with the dust cover removed as leaving it on made things much worse. My wife & I enjoyed thousands of hours of joyful of listening through the old JVC as it was superb in its day.
