It lasted 12 minutes following the horse and the silver rider without anything else happening, yet the music and tension kept me in suspense the whole time
It was the most ratcheting crescendo. The music kept on building up anticipation higher and higher waiting for a release. Almost breathtaking until the final release of the official theme at 5:15.
I can't begin to describe the emotional journey this piece took me on. I've listened to it over and over again. The balance of old and new instruments, the driving rhythm, the surges and descending moments of peace.... I can't believe one piece of music managed to capture so many emotions that not only represented the histories of the country hosting the games but also the experiences thousands of athletes were about to go through.
I am already missing so bad the Olympics and Paralympics 😢😢😭😭😭😭 I read that lots of people made critics about the ceremonies until the Tokyo 2020 medal theme song which was better than this one from Paris, but the feelings from each Olympic games are very unique, each moment and Paris brought these awesome feelings!!! Until nowadays sometimes I run/jog listening this masterpiece from Le Masne!!
Loved this. It reminded me a bit of Underworld's amazing music for London 2012 (don't take offence at the comparison please, just my interpretation) - so dramatic and perfect for the setting and visuals. Stunning.
I actually like hearing the audience in the background and especially the horse at the end! Incredible piece!! Thank you for sharing - there has to be a full album of both opening and closing ceremonies. It just wouldn’t be right if they don’t do it.
Ok, seems like no one is gonna mention it, but the part from 3:50 to 5:10 ... man, the chills and goosebumps i get everytime i listen to this part, with the build up and epic resolution ! When i hear this i close my eyes and i see the bridges lighting up with the silver horse passing under them
I could run miles listening to that masterpiece. Actually I plan on listening to it in the last miles at the Berlin marathon. I can't think of a better instrumental to get me to the finish line, drawing all the energy I have left in the tank and cross it like a champ' ! Thanks A LOT to make it available in such a great quality 🙏🏽
Listening to this while watching that horse riding in the Sena and watching some of the very Best Olympics moments was just amazing. I really love the fact that they included Eric Moussambani's clip on that collage
I'll share my feelings as well. Starting at 5:20 when the organ hits... from that part on the rest of the song feels like the last several month of my father's life where he fought cancer and lost in the end... And at 12:03 it sounds like the moment when he touched the face of god... The relief for him... R.I.P Dead
The church organ variation on Parade starting at 5:15 is fantastic. I assume this was recorded on one of the famous organs in Paris, perhaps Église Saint-Sulpice? Or were elements of this score actually performed live during the ceremony? I can't quite tell.
Amazing you've got this audio. Sounds incredible. Sorry to rain on the "parade", but this is the Solidarité track, not Parade. Parade is used during the medal ceremonies and also as the pyro with the tricolour goes off in the early stages of the Opening Ceremony. Part of it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QzzzpOomSXw.html
« Rain on the parade » 😂 Btw, we NEVER had this kind of rainy weather during summer in Paris. Like, Never. 😅 Bravo to all the artists and the crews of the ceremony.
Victor Le Masne (musical director and creator) said that all the musical creations and music used during the ceremonies would be released 🤞 He didn’t plan for people to enjoy so much his musics. In France he has a huge pressure to release all the musics of the ceremonies. 😊
I meant the music before supernature, and also the music playing when the person was carrying the flag ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P51UKOvVpWw.html
Music when the person was carrying the flag on a real horse : Search the video on RU-vid « Solidarité Victor Le Masne » published by the user @ dridri (also @ etpandanslacomete but low quality) At the end of the track, there is the music. Also the composer Victor Le Masne said he wanted to release all the musics. (Hope to get Gojira and the live of Celine as well)
@@eurovisionandfriends I downloaded (via torrent) the Australia Stan Sports broadcast that is 4K and 5.1 sound. If you watch it on a stereo system w/ 5.1 you can mute the commentator and announcer tracks.
As you are a Eurovision RU-vid channel, this soundtrack is like lots of Eurovision soundtracks we have had in recently. This song reminds me of all of the winner walk on tunes! I’ve always been comparing winner walk on tunes with Olympic medal ceremony tunes as a Eurovision and Olympic fan!
@@benthewheel30 one journalist here in France has made a comparison between esc and Olympics and it's true that both event share common stuff. Glad for ESC fans it happens every year 😃
I am not sure which part you are referring to but this link provides a list of all the songs played. I don't know if it's all inclusive but I think this is a good start.
Not yet :( Only 2 versions of Parade were released on platforms. French newspapers are writing a full album with more tracks might come someday, but no date were announced.
The beginning sounds definitely too dark. No wonder some viewers interpreted it as the horse rider of the apocalypse bringing death and destruction when in fact it was meant to symbolize solidarity. A really inappropriate start...
I wholeheartedly disagree, the tension and dynamics give this a piece of art the feel of a journey, especially the career of an athlete. The pain, the struggle, even failures, with triumphs (like 3:52 and 4:44) folowed by a crescendo of the track "Higher" is such a rush... followed by the eventual decline / retirement and finally, the reognition of legacy.... I think this piece is brilliant and indicative of the Olympic spirit within the athletes, but also within us all.
