The ebay site for the guy that sold the lead governor weights & springs appears to not be there any more. However one of the guys I think I bought from, as of this posting is still selling parts. He appears to have more parts now, including what looks like closer to original reproduction weights. My posting this link is not an endorsement. Merely as a convenience to folks researching parts.

The record I play at the end is called Tea for Two. "Tea for Two" is a song composed by Vincent Youmans with lyrics by Irving Caesar and written in 1924.

Looking at archive.org/ there are a incredible number of variations of old 78's of the original title. So back in its day it must have been quite popular.
I've also been informed that the music is often standard fair for learning and practicing the piano.

I have two of these VV-VI models. Yes, there should be a metal escutcheon on the side. The crank is not original. The original crank would not have the step up shoulder. I suspect a prior owner picked up the wider diameter crank, and because it didn't fit through the escutcheon, he removed it, and chewed up the wood when he attempted to widen the diameter of the hole. The fix would require knowledge of wood repair, the correct crank, and a replacement escutcheon.

The rounded ones are original the one that looks corroded is the odd one that looks like it is from a Columbia
