Very true. She doesn’t need to have a great soloist vocal for close harmony… and harmony was the main feature of the Spice Girls’ sound. Whoever put them together originally did well, their voices blend really nicely. People /always/ underestimate the altos!

Sorry but she can't sing 😂 if we compared her with other artist, she can't sing. She Can single in a church event but not to the level of Beyoncé, lady gaga, Adèle, Ariana grande or Mariah Carey

@@ryansummer546 Oh come one we all know their charisma was their selling point, not their incredible vocals. They were bursting with personality and had catchy songs, but vocally they're average at best (only Mel C is above average). Nobody said they're horrible, I mean they'd never make it into the group if they really couldn't sing at all, but let's be real and objective - they're far from the best vocalists in the music industry. But their X factor was probably the biggest ever and that's what made them so hugely popular.

She definitely can sing though I think she fits better as a background than lead singer, she doesn't have the strongest or a unique voice but her voice is still important for their sound.

My favorite voice from the group, it reminds me of Madonna, so much more silky and sexy.

Was not a matter of being borring. She just had the other face of the beauty privilege, that is to say "she is pretty = she must be here for her look". However, yes, her vocals were essentials to the band, not because it carried songs but because it added another layer and make them richer.
