I am on the other of this as i used to be the person who would always stay quiet and leave things be. I had to learn from Holy Spirit how to use my voice. And now the battle for me is when do i choose to stay silent or speak up. And so i remain a work in progress in this.

Prudence - the ability to sleep on it. Wow! Such wisdom. Lord, help me to become the kind of person who sleeps on it before I deal with it.

Self control is not an excuse for passivity when there is injustice, it is the wisdom in responding in a Christlike way. What I find in many Christian friends of mine is passivity and conflict avoidance even when they are involved in the problem. I try to explain to them that we need to speak up about injustice, but they don't like that I say this because they are scared of speaking up and rather people-please.

I loosen self-control over myself, my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ, while loosening myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those who lack self-control, in accordance with this word and proverbs 25:28, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

Praying for my family, my 10 year old daughter and I are divided . Shes being manipulated against me , I have been battling a court case for two years now I was falsely accused of abusing my daughter had a fasle protective order out which was dropped in last August . My daughter’s father is in church supposed to be a minister and doing everything he can to hurt me . This man is keeping my child away from me she’s disrespectful towards me , basically don’t want to have anything to do with me, she won’t talk to me . I’m paying my support, doing all I can do; I pray that God turn this situation around and restore me back with my ten year old daughter. I miss her so much it hurts my heart to No that I don’t have rights to my child because someone else is trying to replace me . I been through a lot and I’m tired my heart is heavy so is my mind . Please keep me in prayer 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Our Father is always on time with a word and I'm so grateful. I definitely struggle in this area. But I see the growth aswell. I'm even leaning how to capture negative thoughts and feelings and bringing them before the Lord. This video has given some much hope. I ask for prayer in the area of letting go and letting God lead me. Blessings to you all and I love you all 💝💌🙏🏾

One day I was praying for more self control over a situation, and I went to bible study and was very upset, the woman prayed over me, "God, help Lisa let go of control." wow, He spoke to me, I needed to let go of it noy try to exert more of it. PTSD is a difficult diagnosis, please pray for my healing. That situation has changed now, but it was a very emotionally charged and difficult situation, I wish I could be more powerful in my self, and I was praying CONTANTLY!!!! I could feel the Lord had failed me, but no, I need to trust Him. I need God to manage this malady for me. I have to trust God- that through those emotions He is still sovereign.

I've called on the lord many times in my life. He straightened and strengthened me in the process. There's a time and place for everything. I have made progess but I still have some work to do especially in self control and God himself with be there the entire way, there are some things we just can't do on our own.

Hi Beth I totally respect your opinion and the help and direction of the Lord in helping you deal with that matter of finding yourself in a conversation that was not your business and battle. But as children of the Most High God, we have been gifted with His wisdom to preach the gospel, show people the love and truths of God and just use His word and truth to enlighten others. However, I think sometimes just keeping quite as a child of God makes us miss opportunities of helping to make a change, by shining the light in the spaces we find ourselves in. For example lets take injustices that are happening daily in our world, not many churches or preachers sometimes know how to address these, and keeping quite and not addressing issues like injustices in church at the time when there is something going on at that time does as much harm to the flock that is affected by such issues, because you are not showing up for them and helping them to understand and navigate everything through God's word. Keeping quite also harms the ones involved in instigating those difficult conversations because we rob them of the opportunity to look at things in a different way.

I just love this and needed to hear this. Have a hard time with self control and have to call on the Lord alot to help me!

When I'm in dispare, I pause, and don't talk. I start to pray 🙏. After that I use to say, silence also "talks"!

People like broken glass when they start cracking there's no way you can fix it no matter how hard you try people are going to do what they want to do in the only people that get exhausted worn out by the people trying to help these broken people the only person you can fix his yourself and God needs to be part of that plan

I'm tired and worn out. Being a Godly person has only gotten me runned over left and right. I'm emotionally physically and mentally depleted by crude ppl and those that I thought were so-called friends. I set boundaries and I still get attacked. Enough has been enough

If a fellow worker constantly bully U n treats U like thrash n for weeks even one showed kindness to her.... I would like to see U keeping silent n calm, especially I am grieving badly as well.
