Victoria Theodore, a 3rd generation Bay Area native, is a graduate of Oberlin College / Conservatory of Music with 2 Bachelor degrees: Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano Performance and Computer Music, and Bachelor of Arts in Music History. She is also a graduate of Stanford University with a Master's Degree (Master of Arts) in Classical Piano Performance.
Victoria has been a keyboardist and background singer in Stevie Wonder's band since August 2007, and has appeared in concert with the legendary musical genius on stages around the world, on television, and in his live concert DVD, Live At Last.
Working with Stevie Wonder, Victoria has performed with artists ranging from Sting to Prince, Esperanza Spalding to Tony Bennett, John Mayer to John Legend, Mary Mary to Marcus Miller. She has also worked with local music stars Dwayne Wiggins of Tony! Toni! Toné!, disco diva Thelma Houston, rap artists Oaktown 357, Tony Lindsay (lead singer for Santana). Victoria has accompanied classical artists such as soprano Hope Briggs, tenor Robert Simms, and worked with conductors Marika Kuzma, Michael Morgan, and Deidre McClure and for several Bay Area organizations and ensembles.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
