@@brandyrush6781 I watched it again. The opening shot says a lot. Wife is holding her favorite dog, and the husband is handling the other 4. Scott showed that he's familiar with feeding and administering their medication. The dogs are totally comfortable with him and follow him around and hang out with him on the couch. The dogs know he's the one they can get attention from. His problem is that he's already doing 99% of everything for the household, including doing all the dirty work for the dogs his wife keeps bringing home. He's just insisting she take some responsibility for the animals she's supposed to take care of, and she's playing the victim. My impression is that Dina is a spoiled brat that just does whatever she wants and Scott is constantly cleaning up after her. He is sick of being her Dad instead of her husband. In all fairness these shows are heavily edited to make the owners look like the bad guys.

Comments saying he didn't agree totally miss the point. It's like getting together with a cook and then be upset that they cook and bake too much at home. Or getting together with an athlete and then be upset that you can't go out eating due to their strict diet. When we choose our partners, we choose to support their dreams. Even if we don't like them 100%. Becausw they do the same.

Two people with different views on life and life goals got together because God knows why, and it will come out in every part of the relationship. I imagine this instance went something like "Dina has a pug rescue before marriage, Scott accepts that but seems to think the world revolves around him, Dina feels invalidated and does not respect Scott's wishes, Scott feels forced and invalidated and doesn't fulfill responsibilities, Dina then worries for the dogs and becomes overbearing as she can't trust Scott, Scott uses it as a point in the relationship," and off we go. Even if Dina has a noble goal, she isn't a single woman in her own house. There has to be compromise. Even if Scott doesn't like one addition, he married a woman who runs a rescue for God's sake. There has to be compromise

I agree, I think a call to her boss as soon as she left it with him saying to take the dog back as soon as posible was in order and when she was back a discussion about the meaning of consent and thier future as a couple. Might not be the dogs fault, but the lady holds the blame in the situation for leaving the dog with an unwilling dog sitter. (Returning the dog to the rescue would be a far better choice than not feeding it, but he had to do something or this lady would have kept doing this and ended up a hoarder

I think she can handle feeding 1 out of the 5 dogs they have in the house. My sister was like this where she would just keep bringing in animals and it wasn’t until her boyfriend made her do all of the care for them (besides taking them out when she was at work or feeding them if she was late [though he never told her he fed them. He made her think they went without being fed]) that she finally stopped bringing in animals. Do I think it’s childish to act this way and not feed just the one dog? Yes, it is. But it’s also childish to ignore your partner’s wishes and just keep bringing in dogs that he or she does not want.

Enough time passes where the other dogs get fed TWICE but the foster dog doesn't at all until the wife gets home? I could be wrong but it sounded like the wife leaves for work 5 days a week and he is home with the dogs those days. The dog should not have to suffer because his wife brought home another dog that was in need. It's not the pug's fault that they have issues and there's no excuse to take out his frustrations on a dog that didn't ask to be there.

He's not abusing the dog.he's making his wife care for 1 of the now 5 dogs she brought home. Also where will this end 6,7,8,9,10 or 20 dogs?how many dogs does she need to bring home before the problem become obvouis to you.

I don't get your logic. So it is okay to take in animals despite the fact that you don't have the resources to care for them properly? Because the wife is out of town a lot and the husband has to do more work than he bargained for. It is not that he wanted the dog and did not care for it later. He did NOT want the dog in the first place and it got dumped on him (at least for a certain amount of time). That is not okay. We had another episode where the man did that to his wife. And everyone was like "The wife should leave her husband". So now, when the wife dumps an unwanted dog on her husband it is okay?

Imagine just assuming your partner wants to take care of some random dogs cuz you said so.

I hope this show is semi scripted, because most of these pet owners are either morons or assholes.

@@valeriawzepeda that's not possible. That's not how the adoption system works. You'd need to go through a whole entire process. And if you mean the foster system. Both adults in the house would need to be foster parents and 95% of the time you don't have a choice about it. You could pull up in your drive way and there's a social worker and a kid or two on your porch needing a place until they find another foster home.
