Victoria World Championships! With stacked heats, tough conditions, and krazy waves, make the Vic realy fun to watch! The final heat was Sam Stinnett, Blair Conklin, Morgan Just, and Brandon Sears.
I have tried skimboarding. I worked at it with all I had for about three straight days. I can honestly say that this is one of the most impressive things I have ever seen in my life. You obviously have no idea how hard it is to skimboard at all much less at this level
No better feeling then that boost of speed when you carve on a wave. East coast of Florida and barely ever get shore pound even close to this, but even the small waves are fun so I can't imagine how amazing this is.
i was here at aliso this day and they did what they can and there was no siders like in that video. i am good friends with paulo prietto and even he was struggling with the conditions
and people at school and all the surfers think of skimming as just riding the break, then i show them this and the convert to skimming haha story of my life guys
awesome video, I cant wait for summer to try this. Does it matter what way you decide to turn? Like when waves are breaking all at once (close out wave I believe they call it?)
You're right, it doesn't matter, since almost all the waves are closeouts. Probably because they're so near the beach. Good luck. I tried this in the Outer Banks and took a beating. The sand is hard. Hint: spend the money for a good board.
What boards are they using ? What material ? Distance approximately? Que tabla usan? Que material? Cuanto es la distancia? Alguien que me ayude con esto ? Someone who helps me with this please? Thanks Gracias Merci
I've been skimboarding for almost ten years,i was sponsored,i my level was european.Believe me,this competition is all but high-level,no air,no front or back flip(i was used to realise double front-flip,but i know that you won't believe me),no 360° air grab, where are floaters or front snap?No sérious front rides, reverse air maybe? None...Quite poor, tell you.Want real skimboard, begin whith this:Paulo Prietto Professional Skimboarding Segment - Exile Skimboards Enjoy!
I was sponsored when i was younger,my level was european, unfortunetly, skimboard do not pay.Believe me,this competition is really disappointing for a world championship,no air,no front or back flip,no serious front ride, where are the 360° air grabs, floaters etc...you want real skimboard?Check that:Paulo Prietto Professional Skimboarding Segment - Exile Skimboards Enjoy...
@@wetsand9344 I'm 71 so I just watch (or paddle sometimes). But I started skateboarding in 1960 living in Brentwood in the heart of "Dogtown". I started skimming in 1964 but it was nothing like these cats do. Started surfing about the same time and evolved through the longboard, shortboard era around Santa Barbara and later Santa Cruz, Half Moon Bay. Now I live in Taranaki, New Zealand and am fairly much retired.
I've been skimboarding for over four years and yes, this level for this kind of competition is quite poor. You don't magically become the best skimboarder in three straight days?
