When I watch other colorists, I always see the object first, then the shape. With you, I always see the shape first. Thinking on this, I think it's because they like layering more, where you darken the corners and blend out to the middle, giving a highlight to each shape. I love the look of it. You have taught me so much and it's impacting my coloring. So a very warm thank you :D

Hi, I know I’m very late to this party but your statement has provoked a curiosity and desire to understand Julie’s method. I don’t think I see the shape nor item properly. I’m going to binge watch Julie’s video’s and if you have any suggestions for improving my coloring please do share- MERRY CHRISTMAS

@@MzRite66 I can still see her influence today in my coloring. Only thing I can suggest is watch and copy and keep trying. I still can't do backgrounds. But I'm rockin' flowers :D Good luck

Merry Christmas Julie, your work is beautiful and I’m tryin to follow along. I’m am personally new to adult coloring; however once I get into something I’m all in. You must be an artist; can you give me any instructions to improve my coloring? I am learning about so much it can be overwhelming if I’m not careful. I am keeping it enjoyable and therapeutic however I’m up for improvement. Thanks I’m advance

Try to follow color along videos and just go with the flow… you will find your own way in coloring if you just color and color Don’t be too hard on yourself, enjoy it ❤️

Another gorgeous tutorial! I don’t know how you get your coloring to be so smooth on Create Space paper. Are her books a bit smoother than typical Amazon paper?
