This apartment kind of reminds me of Bernadette Banner’s, she is a historical seamstress content creator. I think you nailed the modern day Victorian look.

I love thrifting! My vibe is like English Cottage with a bit of Victorian flair, so it's really nice being able to be in such a historic area like I am that's littered with antique stores. I find myself going on the weekends and I go to thrift stores, or I pick up using Facebook Marketplace, which actually has some really adorable stuff on it

My family never got rid of anything if it was still functional, so I am fortunate to have several pieces of vintage furniture that belonged to my great-grandparents, from the previous "turn-of-the-century". I have a couple of Queen Anne style living room chairs, my great-grandmother's embossed leather steamer trunk, a simple dresser my great-grandfather built, and the ornate upright grand piano my grandmother learned on. The piano is stunning and sounds great still, even though it is over a century old. I took lessons on it as well, decades ago. I also have my grandparent's Duncan-Phyfe style dining room set, which I don't love, but the table is nice and large, with three leaves, and the buffet is useful, and it was all free, so I can't complain too much. I treasure the pieces, and have found ways to fit them in to the style of my home, which tends toward rustic/traditional, if that's a thing. I would go antiquing, but don't need to! On a related note, I really, really wish TS4 had an upright piano, like in TS2!!! It's dumb that it doesn't. I have an upright piano, and it is my most prized possession. ❣

Love this! I was just thinking about how to describe my interior design style the other day and came up with "eclectic Victorian botanical macabre". I also decorate almost exclusively with thrifted and second hand items and it's always so fun finding things

I love thrifting! My style for interior/exterior decorating as well as personal fashion style is very eclectic and most of the pieces i desire in my life are not available through fast fashion or fast consumerism. I love vintage items. I'm do gravitate towards the bright and lively 60's and even some 50's. But i also love the Victorian or Edwardian, or art deco era of items for decoration. My future home will definitely be a site to be seen, lol. I enjoyed this build and video. I really enjoy watching your videos. If you take suggestions from your viewers i would love to see a cottage (tiny or big) that is gothic but pastel with cottagecore bits aswell.

My husband has a very modern taste, lots of black or dark furniture and simple clean lines is what he likes, while I like a variety of styles, especially eco-modern natural Japandi soft muted/grayed or pastel colors, but I also love a darker traditional academic look as well (green brocade, brown leather, dark wood). I wonder if you could combine these styles into one build and make it look cohesive! You're really great at that in the sims so I'm sure you'll figure out a way to incorporate your own favorite styles together in your home eventually as well.

when me and my parents moved to the united states from brazil 6 years ago we literally only had each one one little luggage lol so everything (literally EVERYTHING) that we had for more than 4 years were second handed/donated/thrifted and even after stabilizing ourselves here, me and my mom just absolutely LOVE thrifting! you can always find so many nice stuffs, the vintage ones are always my favorite 🤍

I just moved and I’m obsessed with thrifting right now! I always thought it was so boring when I was little and my dad would drag me along to flea markets but now I love vintage-hunting - for both furniture/decor and fashion.

I inherited a bunch of gorgeous pieces when my grandpa died, cause my mom and uncles weren't interested in any of them really, and they're all solid oak and this gorgeous dark color and I love them, I also have this rollertable that same grandpa gave to me when I was a kid, it's in need of some serious restoration, but it's so cute, also I bought this rectangular mirror in a thrift store years ago, the frame isn't super ornate or detailed but it's painted gold and quite pretty I've banned myself from going through the funiture department of my fav thrift store, cause the few times I've done it I was tempted to buy some gorgeous pieces, that I had neither the space nor the money for, hopefully I'll move over the summer and then I can go buy some
