For heaven's sake, whatever you've done for Graham, it must have been really meaningful to him. I've watched other videos of yours and nearly every knife you review has been a gift from Graham. I'm a Victorinox enthusiast and need to come across a generous soul like that to grow my collection. 😅 Nice review as always. I have the Midnite Mini Champ with plastic scales, pen and light. The alox model looks more attractive and is less bulky but I like the pen. The light is a bonus although I've never really needed it.
I'm also a Dan that loves Swiss knives! It's crazy how small it is with all the tools it has. This is now on my keyring and I never leave the house without it!
I like it as a collector ... I love my Rambler for EDC though because it has the perfect tool set for me ... Great video Dan and Congrats on you new toy. 👍
Not looked at the comments but the (orange peeler) is excellent at un-doing those deadly clam hard plastic shrink wrap cases items seem to come in more and more today, dig that point in and draw it down. It’s super sharp and gets you inside relatively stress free
Funny that the mini champ has 3 medical tools from the medical SAK - tracheotomy blade, pharmaceutical scoop, medicine bottle opener, aka orange peeler!
If they replaced the emergency blade with an awl, I'd probably EDC this. They could also drop the cuticle pusher for something else like sturdy tweezers since there aren't any on alox.
its a great looker..but you only get over the rambler.. cuticle pusher PASS i use my other nails to push my cuticles or i could use a knife, would make a wicked coke spoon though !, but i preferr lines. ruler PASS when measuring i normally need something substantially bigger than 50mm orange peeler PASS . im sure it has its day, but not important to me spare tiny blade PASS as if you need a proper blade you need a bigger knife. nail cleaner PASS as any blade or bradawl acts as a nail cleaner the real advantage over the rambler is the alox beauty.... hopefully soon they will make the rambler alox.
Only to the non-initiated. They have to call them ''orange peeler'' and ''cuticle pusher'' for legal reasons. Really they are for breaking up cocaine, and sniffing it.
i love the knife...but in the end i think you will use only the rambler functions...so may as well get a lighter rambler.... if only they did the rambler in alox..that would be CASE CLOSED.
@@runthomas I agree actually, my comment above was kinda a joke. I don't see the point to an orange peeler or cuticle pusher. Weird that they don't make a Rambler in alox, but they make Classic & MiniChamp in alox...I guess at some point in the future they will make one, same as the way they finally made a Farmer X i.e. a Farmer with scissors, a few months ago.
