In my opinion, the Huntsman is one of the all time greats. It's one of those knives that if I ever lost it, I would immediately replace it. Cheers, buddy!
You can't go wrong with an SAK as part of your EDC, I carry a Super Tinker daily in fact. I also have the Fieldmaster, which is the Huntsman but with a Philips driver in lieu of the corkscrew. Those custom SAK's you showed at the end were very cool, btw. 😎👌Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
The cap lifter/screwdriver has the half stop to help keep it in position for using more force on a tougher screw in the half stop position. Great look at the tool, as usual.
Half stop on the flathead/cap lifter is so you can use the screwdriver in the 90 degree position also you can put a wire in the wire stripper then close the main blade on the wire and spin the knife around the wire to strip the coating off the wire.
I just bought this today along with the leather victorinox carry case for a belt..had to convince the manager of go outdoors to let me buy the display knife as they had run out of stock 👌🏻 excellent quality knife
Excellent video! I have three (3) Huntsman in addition to other SAK’s. The Huntsman are in different scales- walnut, Campfire (Tortoise Gear) and titanium topo from ASZ Knifemaker (from Poland). I usually rotate the Huntsman between the Fieldmaster and Ranger in addition to carrying either an SD or Rambler in the fifth jeans pocket. Really enjoyed the custom knifes at the end! I subscribed as well.

It’s far too easy to convince yourself you need another SAK. The reason for me is usually that I don’t have that one, so obviously I need to pick one up 🤣 Thanks for sharing Slippy 😁
One of the best pocket knives that money can buy. There isn't much that you can't do with this knife. I added green plus scales to mine, plus a ballpoint pen and micro screwdriver. It's more or less a complete toolkit in a pocket sized package.
I bought the Boker Tech Tool 4 which is roughly equivalent, very well done but it is by comparison a lump. The Huntsman is a very compact, lightweight package if you are out hiking/walking, is a good little first aid tool box for the more everyday things like wood splinters and thorns which if dealt with then are done but if left can cause difficulties.
I've been carrying the Victorinox farmer X for a while now, i really love that thing! The tools are more heavy duty since the knife is Thicker and the flathead is bigger then on the one with the red scales, its a shame tho it doesnt have the tweezers with it or the toothpick, but i can make one myself and i bought a keychain tweezers
It's a cracking knife no doubt...I don't own one but do own a Hiker and a Climber, and I went for the Farmer X instead of the Huntsman to have a scissors/woodsaw toolset. The only downside of that is not having the small blade which I feel is very much underrated, if I'm carrying a 91mm SAK I tend to use that more. Great for opening packaging including clamshell type packaging.
I'm just a huge fan of Victorinox in general Simon! I also tend to use the pen blade for unboxing and small tasks 🫡 I really appreciate you watching and commenting!

One thing about SAKs, they are top notch quality. Opposite is Rough Ryder, I have a dozen poorly assembled knives from them, and too expensive to ship back to SMKW from outside the USA.
Would you know what model has all the same tools as the Huntsman, but without the parcel hook? The mod work is really cool on the aluminum, but that Tinker is incredible… was it on your channel that had the Spyderco blade on the SAK? Thanks for the video Sawyer.
@@ElCapAddict Yeah but the Hiker lacks the scissors, also it has a Phillips screwdriver in place of the corkscrew. The Camper is a Huntsman without scissors and parcel hook. All 91mm SAKs with scissors have the parcel hook, it's on the opposing back layer. So if you want those great scissors just accept the parcel hook as part and parcel of it, excuse the pun. Otherwise the Farmer X would be an alternative, it has the same scissors and woodsaw as the Huntsman, an ever so slightly beefier main blade but no secondary small blade, and an inline reamer (not awl as it has no hole) which is easier to use than the one on the Huntsman.
that blue Tinker is sexy. for 4 layer SAK's I prefer Sexplorer's over Huntsman's and i just got a 2017 Sexplorer White Christmas edition and yes it will get used and not sit in a box like 95% of SAK collector's do with their new knives. p[lease keep making SAK video's
When I decided to try a 4-layer SAK, I looked seriously looked at the Huntsman and he Handyman. I just couldn't buy into the saw. I have 4 multitools with saws in them. I've never used any of them. I decided on the Explorer, and after only a week, it's showing signs of being the gest SAK I've ever owned.
I think it only comes as standard with the Compact and Swisschamp, other models with corkscrews don't come with them but you can buy them for a couple of bucks.
@@flynlow4ever You know you can just order a cheap sewing kit with a bunch of pins as well as needle and thread for the same money right? It's just a standard pin.
