lyrics -
I'm so
sick of livin' in my imperfect skin.
Not suiting any clothes I don't fit in
"I'm so barebones,
but that's how I'm known"
It's a curse but there's worse
That could be thrown,
Into the path that I roam
It's not alot, but it's home
And home is where the heart is.
And these streets don't change,
their the same as they were
back in 98'.
Despite the condition,
It's the same shitty place.
And it's true I grow tired of this
Livin' every day,
with the same old shit.
But hush up dude,
It'll all end soon.
Least I wasn't fed with a silver spoon.
This is the black country,
and it's not for the faint hearted.
Bullied all through school,
made to act like it was cool.
To play the fool, to ignore the rules.
It wasn't a wise move,
but that's how it is,
and now I hate myself for it.
My best friend he stuck up for me,
I still know him now
we're family,
and together we've gone through it all.
Enough to wise up before you take the fall.
When I was 14,
my life was cut in two.
My dad came home,
from hospital and the news.
Was that he'd been diagnosed,
with an illness I knew all to well.
And this made me break down,
made my heart hurt like hell.
But all this made me wise.
Made me see life through different eyes.
It's a short journey so make do,
cause there's only one.
"You can make it, through".
