I finally bought this its easily the best controller ive used. After using the elite 2 im not buying anymore controllers with wings or levers, buttons work the best and the anolog sticks are golden. There is a video of me playing halo on my channel with it.
Regarding the pure audio's low volume issue that you mentioned for this victrix controller, can you try bumping all the EQ frequency bands to the max/top in the EQ settings page on the app? that may help in having your pure audio volume sound higher.
Hey, I did try that but it doesn’t bring the volume up, it kinda distorted the audio. Someone commented on my unboxing victrix video as well asking if I find the audio low in volume, so seems like it’s an issue for other people as well. The controller to me is amazing and I’m now trying to get an Astro A40tr mix amp, just so I can play with this controller. I had to start playing with the elite S2 and using the Epos h6 pro with S2 is soooo amazing specially using the Dolby app the audio is not only detailed but so good to listen to. I just wish my victrix unit didn’t have this issue, everything else I can deal with but the audio is a bit of a let down for me.
@@thephototechy that's strange because maxing the eq settings work for me for raising the volume in my pure audio mode to match that of light/heavy bass mode and I don't get any distortion (I use a 5-6 year old wired samsung earbuds btw). Have you tried checking for firmware update on the app? maybe that might help fix the pure audio issue for you.
@@anmist379 yeah I tried the Xbox app and the pc app as well. I did find that some earbuds I have do get louder than the others but not in the pure audio profile. Senheiser 598 in light base settings are very good, but that headphone is known to have very less base. I don’t have this issue with any other controller, the elite S2 is definitely better than any controller I have,but still the other third party controllers can give adequate sound quality. Funny thing is PDP rematch also have a bit less volume than others but not like the gambit. Victrix are part of PDP and I was wondering if something is going on with the sound processing. Their BFG ps5 controller seems to be keep getting delayed, not sure what the issue is there with the BFG, maybe Sony or PDP caught something. Have you tried a headset with your controller?
@@thephototechy no unfortunately I don't game with headsets. I mainly only use earbuds since they're so easy to stow alongside my other gaming gears. And so far my Samsung earbuds had been my goto and the audio quality had been great. But yeah the low pure audio on your gambit I don't think is normal, since mine doesn't behave like that. Maybe try reaching out to victrix and letting them know if you haven't already.
Hey the ones with 3.5mm jack works perfectly even the mic works as well if they have them. The lightning port ones I haven’t tried, don’t know if the lightning to 3.5mm converter works with mic audio. Be mindful though I did mention that the controller’s audio was a bit of a let down for me specifically with cheaper ear buds. This controller really need a good quality headset for a good sound experience. With my elite series 2 I can use even cheap headset or earbuds and have a good experience, of course using a good headset will be better.
Hey I didn’t get any stick drift and I played a lot with this, did most of my guns platinum in MW2 on this. I did notice this strange behaviour from the left stick, where it cancelled the forward movement and restarted straight away, only happened a few times one day then stopped. After searching I found others experienced same thing. It much worse where the controller was not usable. Mine is not doing this anymore so I don’t know if it’ll come back. I just got a PS5 so playing MW2 on it, but I’ve given the victrix to a family member who plays destiny and he told me it’s fine so far. I’m a bit worried if this is a common issue or not, I really want to get the BFG for PS5 by victrix but can’t decide.
@@thephototechy yep thanks for sharing the issues. I am on a verge of getting one too. Either this or the wolverine v2 pro from razer. Seen many comments bout the stick drift that makes me have to think a lot about it.
@@asthedaysgoneby the Razer looks amazing as well, I have the V2 chroma and I love it. I think someone in their review mentioned that the V2 pro didn’t have deadzones adjustment available in the app, and they thought the standard settings was too high. Still I think that controller with those new triggers might be the one, the price though is a bit difficult to justify.
