Another turntable that would be good for people on a tight budget.

Looks fantastic and its my favorite brand! I got excited when i saw those little push buttons thinkin theres a USB/sd recorder. That woulda been the icing on the cake for me

I have two recordplayers. One is a vintage japanese sansui 333 direct drive. That is in the livingroom. In my bedroom I have an Audiotechnica LP 60x bluetooth and to be honest there is no competition for the audiotecnica entry level recordplayer. I bought it after watching a Recordology review. I just love audiotechnica entry level. Everything works perfect.

Just bought one and came from your other video! Great vids man keep it up! 🙌 **UPDATE** I ended up returning it and getting an Audio Technica AT-LPGO-BT. Right off the rip on a brand new record it had this feedback that sounded like when you run your finger on the rim of a glass of water. Maybe it was just my luck with the Victrola Eastwood, but the Audio Technica is 👌💪

I just got this little boi! I was attracted to it because of the stylus, small size, and unique look. I just wanted something to play 45’s without taking too much space without looking like a lame crosley. I love the little records. Now I feel that I made a good choice after seeing you test how the pressure.

That's great for what it is. I think this would make a great gift.

I like the way you continue to review these different units but personally i would run these through my system rather than use the inboard speakers. As always, keep up the interesting content, and any bits of used audio equipment you might pick up. Best wishes from Lockdown UK.

Hello to Rcord-ology ,I did not mean to say you put me to sleep I usually when I can't sleep I will watch T.V. but lately T.V. is not a good thing to watch lately and since I was on vacation I been getting way to much sleep so I like to watch your videos even if I seen them before it entertains me and relaxes and your videos are always happy you always see the positive in everything and I like to see happy shows it makes me feel good !?😊JRo

While I have a quite a few older mid to high end turntables, I bought this as an impulse buy mostly because I wanted a lightweight self contained record player with a magnetic cartridge and it waa pretty reasonably priced. As far as tone quality goes, it seems to my ears to be far richer in sound than its ceramic cartridge cousins. The ceramic players I have heard (mostly the Crosley cruiser) tend to be hardh and shrill where this is a much fuller and richer sound. While the Audio Technica cart is not my Ortofon Blue or ADC XLM, it is a very good sounding cartridge with good range and detailed sound. My biggest issue is with the Skywin mechanism. There is some noticeable wow and flutter which may be related to the fact it is tracking at 3.5 which is om the heavy side for this cart and will make any tracking issues on the record more apparent. Overall I am pleased. Nice to have a record player that I can use in a room where I don't have a stereo system. Could make for a nice first turntable for someone, however not one I would eecommend for archiving.

They actually make a Eastwood Signature model now. It has better, more powerful speakers, dark wood, dark metallic controls, and a platter mat. It costs $50 more, but if it sounds better might be worth it. Maybe you could do a review and compare the two.

I just ordered an Eastwood Signature as it was on sale for the standard Eastwood price. I have a Victrola Metropolitan and it works fine, especially as a decent and loud Bluetooth speaker for parties, but I wanted something a little higher quality for playing actual records on.

How do you feel about the lack of a slipmat or the ability to add one? Do those little rubber circles act sufficiently to protect the record?

I used to put blue tack and a number of coins at the back of the tonearm to lighten the weight on the needle.

One of the main reasons I purchased this unit is the BT out feature. This will allow me to use a great sounding BT speaker to listen to my vinyl and not be tied to the small limited speakers built in to the unit. On order, we'll see how it goes!

Just picked this unit up… I started with the Five Below Record player (sound failure), then picked up a Crosley Cruiser on clearance and returned that and now made it to this… This is the entry level record player all people should start with. What a difference in sound….

just a quick comment for future buyers of turntables that have three speeds. I would recommend that one buys what is known as a flip cartridge stylus, to play 78s. you simply flip a lever left or right to change your needle. i.e. 2 needles on one cartridge.

that is something a bit different...nice little player,and good the tracking pressure is correct for the cart....nice to see a slow drop of the stylus onto record...our all in one player upstairs..i forget the make !!! takes forever to drop down onto the record.I was considering taking Avha out round the block,and then get back in time to hear the start of the record play..Always enjoy the unboxing vids ...

not a bad looking unit and giving it a magnetic cartridge is always a plus in these units. it sounded ok i guess but not that much better than suitcase players without a magnetic cartridge, though it's a step in the right direction. thanks for sharing and happy new year to you.

I've enjoyed mine immensely, it was a major improvement in qaulity over my suitcase player, (to my ears), my only issues with it have been that the cord is on the shorter side, I haven't been able to register it properly, and I can't seem to find replacement cartridges for this one, or atleast couldn't in November when I purchased it

Even though it's nearly identical to their "usual" mechanism (as well it's quite garish "silver" colored platter), the fact Victrola cared to put a magnetic phono cartridge on it is awesome!

I have just bought this turntable cartridge on Amazon really good sound my first as I didn't want a suitcase or one that u assemble ñave not tested Bluetooth but records sound good would recommend

So I bought this record player not to long ago and the needle will not stay on which I’m not sure if it came broken or there is something I did wrong. Also the volume does not go up or down with the “switch”.

What similar type of record player has the best sound quality of all of them? Using the units own speakers of course.

Could you tell me the difference between this one and the Victrola Brighton? Looks like it might be just the stylus and the color of the platter?

Nice review. What price point does this come in at? The Amazon link shows this as unavailable certainly here in the UK. It’s a curious decision to use the same record deck as the suitcase record players and I don’t understand why the platter is painted silver it makes it look tacky. It’s good that there are different styles of player now on the market instead of either suitcase or antique style record players and the Bluetooth out feature is a good decision as the headphone and amplified speaker market has been steadily moving in that direction with some great products. Did you take a look inside the player? Wishing you a safe and prosperous 2021

Would you recommend this over the Avery?

Its quality is good enough? I’ve been trying to decide which turntable to buy but I keep reading reviews of the vitrola suitcase saying that it’s not worth because it ruins your vinyls, does that vitrola model works well?:(

Enjoyed this review...New subscriber. Just acquired the Victrola Eastwood Signature turntable. Victrola Support claims that the Audio Technica 3600L stylus that comes with the turntable is OK to use for 78 rpm (I presume vinyl not shellac) records too. Is this correct? Much appreciated.

I bought this thing like 2 weeks before Christmas last month and it started playing my records at a respectable speed and then the turntable started slowing down halfway between an LP within a few uses. I did an RPM test with my phone on the actual turntable and its been playing my records at about 32.67 RPMS as opposed to the full 33. I'm not sure how to fix this thing and may just end up buying an Audio-Technica eventually.

I just bought one. The volume is lower at max than the victrola suitcase models, it can have normal conversations when it's at full volume in front of it. It just seems low. Anyone else have this?

I have watched several of your videos in hopes that you will include the experience of Bluetooth out feature on wireless headphones or ear buds to get your honest opinion. I actually purchased the Empire for this capability but I couldn't adjust the volume and the sound wasn't great (wireless headphones or from the single speaker on the machine). So I can't wait til you make a video testing it out with your opinion of the experience. Your videos are GREAT!

Innovative Technology now builds several major brands besides Victrola. Jensen, Boytone, Crosley, Digitnow, RCA, and JVC are some of the brands they build under their licensing agreements, and others I don't remember.

Help I just got this and the white needle bit came off and won’t go back on!

Target offers a model called the Brighton, which seems to be this exact model, except with a darker wood finish, and a different cartridge, and $40 cheaper. It even has the BT Out function, which is important for me living in a thin walled apartment (for BT headphones...you were wondering why anyone would want that feature). I'm thinking about getting that model. Have you seen that one, and have any thoughts as to if it really is comparable except for the cartridge?

I wonder if this means Victrola are going to attempt to put this setup in a suitcase player? 🤔 the tone arm looks too good to be an exclusive to this particular player? 🙂

Bluetooth OUT is the most important feature so you can use good speakers - the speakers included I use as monitors because they suck.

I bought that one on December 31 and it sounded good (I got a briefcase looking record player for christmas returned it because it sounded slow) but today Jan 3 when I tried to listen to a new record the Record Player started acting up sounding slow just like the other one. Im really upset because it costed $100 I was expecting something better. Should I return it? Is there a way to fix it???

Funny they call the lowest cartridge Audio Technica makes a premium cartridge. It's only premium compared to a ceramic cartridge! Looks like it doesn't use the stock Hanpin mechanism. An external power supply is a good thing according to most audiophiles. Because they think the power supply is a source of noise that has to be kept far away from the turntable. Some high-end turntable manufacturers even offer mods to convert an internal power supply to an external one. Good that you already know you need a digital stylus pressure gauge. Some advice: Most of those stylus pressure gauges are the same and look exactly like the one Pro-Ject offers(Measure-It E), but with a different logo on it. Pricing varies heavily (about 8 to 35 bucks) depending on which logo is printed on it.

Well could not sleep so I started to watch Record-Ology glad I did on this TT I liken the style of this TT not sure I like the cover does not look to portable to carry around the cart is great and the platter is ok but may be it should be black not silver but it just my thoughts doesn't look heavy duty compared to the new suitcase player that crosley came out with even though it had a few bugs you had to figure out .I would say 70%I would chose the new crosley than this one cause it still looks like it can be taken anywhere without scratching it up but that's just me but I am glad I got to watch this one. like watching your vidsthey are very informative and you to keep safe JRo

Looks cool, and I do like the magnetic cartridges being installed into these units! I suggest you don't play bass heavy records on these things with built-in speakers!!

when i put my record on and the plastic top is in its resting up my record hits the plastic!

I've been through 3 of these in a week and it's a massive disappointment. Every single one of them has run slow and I don't know what to do about it. I think I'll just return it, even though it was a Christmas gift from my girlfriend.

Is it safe to play the vinyl without the slipmat??

Bought one from Walmart today and I will be returning it. It gets to the end of the record and just stops. It doesn’t return back boo.
