Very interesting, I don't have the problem but I am a little confused because I don't seem to get any ground disconnection happening when the inverter is connected to the grid input as it should. I have to investigate further. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Just the guy I want to see ! Marius I'm a electrical student , I don't mind traveling through to Four-ways . I have some questions regarding earthing of inverters I would like to finally put to rest . There are so many installers and electricians with contradicting views on this subject it's hard to get to the bottom of the truth . Could you give me a slice of your time ?
So I could be seeing a ground-nuetral bonding on the db board. Some guys set ot up like this,but I suspect it's only for off grid. Or would need a relay to break the bonding which mains AC is on. ??
I have this problem since last night 2am when the inverter just turned off when doing this self test. It keeps saying that the connected battery (dyness 9.6kw) is low and then the inverter goes into Sustain mode but not charging the battery from the grid or from the connected solar. Currently have power on by having the Inverter set to bypass (there is a small 3 switch db board with a bypass switch next to the inverter). The electrician tried solving the problem remotely but it keeps giving the Error 8 even with AC going to the inverter turned off and having it on bypass ( so only battery and mppt connected). Seems like something inside the inverter or battery is messed up. The guy is coming tomorrow or Saturday to check onsite and he says it is probably the Lan cable between the battery and the inverter (multiplus 2 GX)

@@rolfbienert3789 yeah, same problem. Sad there wasnt a follow up. My inverter works just fine with the smart solar chargers but doesn't charge or discharge the battery and I get the error 11 step 8 message. Strange because I don't even have anything connected to the ac out connection. Only ac in.
@@theacme3 Victron eventually exchanged my inverter under warranty. I contacted the seller and they tested it first in their shop. At first they did not find the issue because they did not wait long enough. The test seems to happen when AC2 switches on, which is a couple of minutes after AC1 comes on. I showed them when it happened and they contacted Victron. I had a replacement in about 6 weeks then.
