Once again Dave, you do some of the best reviews I've seen and this is another great one. Maybe I need to look into this one for my suburban trail cam plans... Honestly, I'd buy it just for the battery tray ejection button. I'd be like a little kid doing that over and over, and over and over...

Looks like you could modify the door to remove the bottom part of the hole for the the power cord then the door would open and close without removing the power cord. Nice review.👍

I have a deer cam with the same external power source in the door. ( Not to name) With battery's in it you can unplug the cam from the external sourse and do what ever you need to. All setting are saved. Them close the door and plug in the external battery and it runs on it. Yes a little trouble but using the internal battery's just for opening the door last a long time.

Do you know what I really like about this camera Dave? And the Apeman is designed the same way. Its how the port for the external power is recessed into the camera. Helps keep moisture out. I have a couple cameras where the port is flush and water gets in there and causes corrosion. You are right about it also being a con, They need to design it in the back of the cmera or figure out another way.

That looks like a good candidate for my purposes. The features look fairly straightforward to set up. Do you just shut the door and it's on? This is the step that always worries me. lol

Thanks for watching! The menu is relatively easy to navigate. Once you have the camera’s settings the way you want you must push the 3 position switch to the “on” setting for the camera to be activated. Not hard but even I forget to do that from time to time 😜
