The Great White Pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus) is a large, graceful water bird known for its impressive wingspan, which can reach up to 11 feet. They inhabit shallow lakes, marshes, and coastal lagoons, thriving in warm, freshwater or brackish environments. Their nesting colonies are typically on islands or dense reed beds, where they lay up to three eggs, with both parents sharing incubation duties.
