Video 11 - Medianav Bootlogo restart solution (Solution for video 1,4,5,6, and 7)

Solution for Logo Restart:
After studying the Medianav device for more than 4 months. I decided to give free solution for people with Medianav as MANY UNAUTHORISED DEALER CHARGE VERY HIGH TO PEOPLE.
The cost to fix it is nothing. Just you should have the replace file"size less than 500Kb", which is available in internet at free of cost.
Almost all files required for medianav is available in french site at free of cost.
The Reason for Logo Restart in Medianav is File mismatch.
The firmware version and the version of the file --/"StorageCard/System/Micommanger" should be same.
eg. If firmware version is 7.0.5 , then the micommanager file in ---- "StorageCard/System/Micommanger" should also be of version 7.0.5. If its different , it cause to restart at logo.
So, the solution is
Just boot into WinCE. This can be done by just having the NK.bin file in pendrive and start the Medianav. The medianav boots in WinCE.
or
Just put the entire folder "system" availble in ///"StorageCard/System" and NK.bin file /// into pendrive. Now Start Medianav. It will boot into WinCE.
After booting into WinCE, Just replace the correct version of Micommanager file into "Storagecard/System".
After replacing , poweroff and on the device.
The logo restart problem will be solved. Note: The firmware version and micomanager file version should be same to solve this problem.

i have medianav for dacia logan i can get to radio only when i put usb with micom in it , then i have to go to sd card 1 and inside it i press dboot folder then every thing goes well , when i turn off the radio while the motor is still running and turn it on , every thing works well but when i turn off the car and lock it and turn it on oncemore dacia logo restarts, so i have to put the usb to enter the medianav any help id appreciate it

Gary Myambo , hi, If it restart at boot, like I shown at end of video, than you can try this method told, otherwise if freeze after completely turning on..., Than I have not seen that pbm.... Maybe you can try by taking a backup of your first storagecard, and than try replacing with your version of new files from internet....

Gary Myambo hi,. There are 3 ways to get into winCE . If u have installed dboot, than using left to right moving finger , you can get in, if not, if your pendrive is recognised by the device, than put the nk.bin file and system folder in pen drive and restart device. Or the resister short method in board. This I will be telling in video 15 in one slide. For software, (nk.bin) etc, I have given links in video16. You can try it....

Hi, I have installed the toolbox from the renault site but cant find the files anywhere, & the toolbox wants me to connect the usb drive to the car first which I cant do because the car computer is stuck in a boot loop. do you have a link for the files?

I feel, the solution for this pbm will be similar to logo restart pbm. So, try replacing the NK.bin file of your version along with micommanger file of your version. If you donot have software, tell the version you need or in my last video have provided links for software, you can take it.

I'm having issues with boot logo reboot and touchscreen lockup. The device didn't want to boot anything from USB so I shorted resistor to ground (in my case R1021 - not R1001 as stated in your "video 15") and this way managed to boot into WinCE with NK.BIN version 4.0.6 from USB. Problem is, I don't know how to check the Micommanager version. If I start Micommanager from "Storage" I'm prompted with "Enter authentication key" which just locks up before I can enter the key (touchscreen freezes and system reboots) Any tips on what the next step would be are highly appreciated Thanks

Jasse , Hi, I will make one thing clear. This may be helpful to you. 1) you are telling before entering authentication key, the device restarts...which means, in some version of nk.bin file, the device will be in wince mode for maximum 3 min, after that it restart. If you want to operate in wince mode for long time max. 17 min, use nk.bin of 7.0.5 version. 2) for micom version, do some guess work. Eg. Your device became fault after using some wrong version of .lgu file. So, before when it was working good, you would have known the version of medianav 4.5 or 6.0.3 etc.... Say 4.5 version, Now , you would have upgraded with wrong .lgu file of some version , say 6.0.3. Say after this upgrade device become faulty. Now the guess work for micom version would be either of version 4.5 or 6.0.3. but most propabily it would be 4.5. So, replace with micom manager of version 4.5 and try. Like this doguess work. 3) for exactly finding firmware version, after entering wince, use the dicom.exe software form usb. I think , I have given link for this software In my last video for version 6.0.3 . May be it work for 4.0.5 also. But you can do a guess work and replace micommanager and try.

KISHORE KUMAR C thanks for the fast and detailed reply. I was afraid of bricking the device by trying different versions that I wasn't sure were compatible. I didn't do any updates or modifications to device fw, so I'm guessing NAND somehow got corrupted. I'm just trying to get it to boot properly again. I don't really understand how to install dboot 2.0, mind replying with a step by step? Also,did you unpack the lgu files using lgu2file program?

Jasse , since your device is restarting, now how you will install dboot 2.0. This dboot 2.0 is a file named 'cereboot' packed inside upgrade.lgu file, which is used from pendrive to install dboot. So, now you should paste directly the file cereboot into your device at location "storagecard1/cereboot" .... So that dboot appears at start. Now I don't have the unpacked file with me, so take dboot 2.0 , unpack it and paste all the content in the said location to get dboot icon. For unpacking use the file lgu2dir......

Ok, so I've managed to install dboot 2.0 but I still can't manage to start WinCE with it since the "authentication key" prompt pops up as soon as I swipe the screen. The Authentication screen freezes after a couple of seconds, even if I manage to quickly input the key. - I have tried replacing the whole "Storage card\System\" folder with the files from "2015_04_07_4_0_5_recovery" - I have tried running "UpgradeManager.exe" from that same folder" but it doesn't seem to load the upgrade.lgu file - I have tried flashing the "booter_standalone.bin" from "Official Firmware 406" with flashboot.exe - it seemed to be successfull but no change to the behaviour. - In "Storage card\System\" folder I found "CodeChecker.exe" which runs (doesn't freeze the device) but does not accept the code. I got the code directly from Dacia and crosschecked with github.com/Joyez/renault-radio-code-list and they are the same, so should be fine. - Running Micommanager.exe or UpgradeManager.exe from "Storage\System\" results in authentication screen that freezes after a few seconds. Is there any way I can do a full recovery somehow? I also found that the original version seems to be 4.0.2 - I got this from "Storage card\System\Version_info.txt"

Jasse , Hi, I don,t have idea about this. May be try one thing..... Take the upgrade.lgu file of version 4.0.2 or 4.0.5 of official version. Unpack it. And replace it with entire storagecard1 ( note: entire card not only within system folder). This should work..

Hi, If your Medianav is working behind the white screen. The solution is file mismatch in storagecard. Replace the correct version of NK.bin file in Storagecard. I think you tried to replaced the files in storagecard path or upgraded or downgraded your medianav using .lgu file. After doing this you are facing this problem. When you start medianav, after logo appear, if you have white screen. Then its sure NK.bin problem. /////////////////////////////////// Salut, Si votre Medianav travaille derrière l'écran blanc. La solution est l'incompatibilité de fichier dans storagecard. Remplacez la version correcte du fichier NK.bin dans Storagecard. Je pense que vous avez essayé de remplacer les fichiers dans le chemin de storagecard ou mis à jour ou rétrogradé votre medianav en utilisant le fichier .lgu. Après cela, vous faites face à ce problème. Lorsque vous démarrez medianav, après l'apparition du logo, si vous avez un écran blanc. Ensuite, son problème NK.bin sûr.

Binuka Ashan ,hi In video 16, I have provided links for software. You can find it in the mentioned link... . If you are asking for dicomeditor for 705. I am not having. If you are asking boatloader for 705, you can find in video 16. For dicomeditor, usually people downgrade 705 to 603 , and edit dicom and upgrade only the text file to show as 705. Dicomeditor for 603 you can find in link video 16.

Fercho Danile , hi, bootloader.bin cannot be uninstalled, but it can be overwritten using new upgrade.lgu file or using JTAG or my video15.

Rishi sirunkar , every thing is in a loop, u don't know the version & device not working, than only way is to get into winCE , and in sdcard1 under system folder , u will find text file ,which gives the software version. The software version and firmware usually be same.
