Hi Ganesh, thanks for sharing the valuable info , I have one issue with virtual element. I am using PO status text from virtual element. problem is client doesn't want PO status code in Odata, needs only text. how can we hide Po status code in odata. It is required to get the text. please help.

Suppose I want to call the bapi using virtual element and after that any SO or PO or Delivery No. has got created . Now I will be able to see those value in xml format. But can't we use in report purpose?If I call that cds Into my report program those things will be visible or it is for odata only?
Hope the virtual elements are the place to use BAPI and communicate back to UI via OData service. Not tried the same with report purpose.... at the end it is class and methods, so you can try calling the same in any report program - just try...
The fact that the final "top 2" condition, make only 2 records manipulated by the class method, means that this methods are called inside the Odata context... So these methods do not work in case your CDS is used for data extraction (through odp) ???
