@@AMGTT moissanite test as diamonds on the diamond tester because moissanite and diamonds have the same chemical make up the reason moissanite are made in a lab is because of the rainbow colors are to small to be put in any jewelry and there is less carbon in moissanite the in natural diamonds since they both come from other space henri moisian discovered this in the 1800's when moissante was developed whoever lab grown diamonds where developed in the 1950's by general electric corning and pyrex using pieces of worthless natural diamonds that just couldnt be sols otherwise

While you're right Moissanite was originally "space rock" as you call it, it is extremely rare in that form & is therefore almost exclusively man-made. That being said, it is much better than any lab created diamond there is. Moissanite is more brilliant, has a higher thermal conductivity than any jewel mineral other than natural diamond & vs Lab Created diamond (never gets cloudy).

Moissanite is entirely different than lab made diamond and it entirely better. It's even more brilliant than natural diamond due to double refraction. It's also the 2nd hardest mineral next to natural diamond. Lab made diamond doesn't compare to Moissanite.
