Have a Super 1050 with many of the same mods as you. Loaded a couple hundred thousand rounds on it. The thing has been a PIA since day one. Taking it apart, cleaning and relubricating doesn't help. I've had no less than four GM's over to the house and they gave me some helpful tips but it still doesnt run like it should. The most irritating thing it does is that it will randomly stop pressing new primers into the cases. As you probably know you don't usually catch that on the first round and you find out when you see powder (leaking from all of the unprimed cases) coating all of the "finished" rounds and you have to dig through them and pull out five or ten rounds with no primer that are otherwise finished. As one former world champ said to me when loading on my machine, "Why don't these things ever work right?" And dont even get me started on their primer filler. Just ordered a Mark 7 Genesys. Can't wait. I don't expect it to be bug free, but it can't be worse than the Dillon.

Yes, unfortunately Dillon has not done the necessary upgrades to their line of Presses. I've had just about everything from Dillon, 750, 1050 and 1100. But these presses never seem to perform as they should perform so Mark7 Revolution was the one that I purchased. I also had the Evolution but sold it. Not sure about their newer model Genesis but I don't like to purchase something so new since usually when something is new they need major upgrades, or mods. I stick around with other offerings that have been proven. Thanks for watching and commenting! Best of luck to you~

Either way , there both a fantastic setup. I still have a Dillon super 1050 and I just ordered the mark 7 for it. Hopefully I can ask you for advice on upgrades in the future .. thanks.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

What about caliber changes, does one take less time then the other to complete?

They both have their pros and cons…

I think the balance between electronics and mechanical will play a huge part here... but I think the M7 might be the way to go unless Dillon pull their finger out and remedy the snags... BUT why would they... considering they have a big big market share already i think. no point changing a working formula I guess from their perspective.

Brother, I can't really recall since I no longer have that press. Try to google it, 8 station tool head for Dillon 1100 see what you can find. Sorry that I can't be of better help~

@@chgofirefighter No worries. Did you end up keeping the Apex 10?

@@thelittledetailscr7231 Yes Sir, sure did. Also, the MK7 REVO but my main go to is the Apex 10... Great press! But just like anything no press is truly perfect.

@@chgofirefighter Very nice! Last question. Do you think the xl750 is just as good with upgrades as the rl1100? The 750 has so many more aftermarket parts, like the 5.7x28 shell plate, that I would use. I can afford both, but which one would you recommend out of those two?

@@thelittledetailscr7231 The 750 and the 1100 are totally 2 different presses. Can't compare the 1100 which is almost a commercial type press to a XL750 which is made for guys that reload at home without reloading massive amount of ammunition. Like I stated prior, "ANY" press has their drawbacks, pros and cons. No press is perfect and I've tried just about every press out there. The FX10 is nice, but I hate their long throw handle as I'm sure in the near future something will be done about that long ass handle that they are using. I understand the purpose of the handle but for guys that have short arms, like me, then it's no bueno..... But again, that's just my opinion brother. You can do as I did and purchase 750, 1100, 1200, FX10, MK7 Evo... At the end I stayed with the FX10 and the MK7 EVO.... But the Evo, is in storage and my main go to press is the FX10... Best of luck to you. Feel free to asked me any questions, I may not be able to answer them all but I can try.... lol, best regards!

If the Dillon breaks down I know how to fix it....I've loaded on one for over 30 years......the Lyman/Mark 7 ....that thing has all KINDS of bullshit on it that looks like it could break........

All kinds of "bullshit?" coming from a guy that has never own one your opinion doesn't truly count. Or better said, you're highly misinformed! Buy one and try it out then come back and comment!

The Mark 7 product is a terrible product.! The Priming System is a terrible design. I have to take the press apart every 20 rounds to clean out the destroyed primer in the shuttle disc. Both the supplied primer drop and the Primer Express. Huge waste of Primers and Brass!! Total Aggravation!!! How they can still sell the product is beyond me!! A class action suit would be in order! TERRIBLE PRODUCTS!! WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!!!
