There's only been a few allusions to the type of input the members have in the video production through some interviews (from members, staff, and film production team members) and it sounds like a very involved process where they work and feed off of each other's ideas with the members giving input before, and during production to some extent, but we haven't really been given too many in depth details in that regard. I'd always recommend watching their behinds on BangtanTV where they release the film shoots where you can see the sets, and filming they do.

Yes, they’ve hinted at everything for videos. We have Bangtan Bombs where they mention details (“I wanted this” x in the MV, doing it this way, etc) or alluded to things, but never break it down fully. So yes, they know what they’re doing with the MVs 😉

It all starts from ideas, inspirations from books, literature, greek mythology, etc Then brainstorming. They will present it to their company, then the label decide or approves. CEO Bang PD always encouraged artists' expressions.

Actually DNA is the most viewed BTS music video. Not Boy With Luv. DNA has 1.2 Billion and BWL has 1.1 Billion views. It's close though... 55 million views difference as of now. Watch the bangtan bomb of the making, you will see PERSONA theater and every building ... is real.

Credits to Bighit, the label had no interest in manufacturing another boyband “product” right from the beginning. The philosophy of the company has always been supporting the growth in the artists and fulfilling their potentials. Bighit wanted to do things differently than the traditional kpop business model. BTS has way more creative freedom and inputs than other kpop groups. It helps that they got creative geniuses RM and Suga producing their own songs from the start. Then their healthy influences spread to other members and they all shine with their own styles and tastes. Bighit and BTS are revolutionary through and through. It’s why they’re so inspiring.

Always love the reactions you make! Also, I think I've said this before but the intro is so good! Okay, so... The paintings in the back are not CGI and neither are the sets. It's all real except for when the screens in the back are moving. And yes, the lights(like the Hollywood stuff) Yes, gosh. In the Behind-the-scenes they had such a huge light from the top sort of like a jimmy-jib and I also thought that was sooo cool!

Don't let the "NO CGI or GREENSCREEN EVER!" club slap you down. They stuck to practical effects early on because of budget, but *of course* they added effects here and there as they grew. Now they do whatever the hell they want to make it look amazing. Nothin' wrong with any and all methods. This goes back to the "they lip sync" or "Jimin can't sing" or "they copy people" hate ARMYs have had to defend against. It gets passed down generation to generation and holds onto the grief.

You guys really should react to the MV shooting sketches - I'm sure you'll find them really interesting and you'd be surprised how much of the MV is shot in a set and not green screen - some is obviously but not the majority. The cinema was a set, the part where RM is standing in a white suit is a set and the diner is a set - JK even commented how the tiles on the floor have the same pattern as the BTS logo!
