Hello. I like game arcades. This is a footage of a local video game arcade in Omori, Tokyo, Japan visited in February 2024. The arcade was scheduled to be closed down at the end of the month after 40 years of operation... 😢 The place nicely preserved the atmosphere of local video game arcades, filled with a lot of games from the golden age of arcade games. Many of the games in operation reminded me of the fun times I had with various people at various places in the past. It is really a shame that the game arcades are dying in the country where many of the world-famous video games were originally developed, and had a unique arcade scene, but we, patrons and operators, just feel powerless and accept an end of era. I should probably feel very lucky to be able to visit this arcade and play a few games a few days before the last day.
