In regards to the fat Ash Ketchum in Dave the Diver, his name being Sato is also a reference to Ash's Japanese name, Satoshi, which in itself is a reference to the creator of Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri. Talk about a triple Easter egg!

That impression at 5:34 was 10/10 I couldn't have done it better myself

"Just Crow Things" should clearly have been called "Just Caws!"

The rooftop Half-Life Easter egg in 'Just Crow Things' is also likely a reference to "Lambda Caches" hidden around City 17 and the surrounding areas in Half-Life 2 by the resistance.

Impression: 9/10 Got the correct spelling (Director confirmed that it's "ki ki ki, ma ma ma", as its meaning is "kill kill kill, mom mom mom", and Jason is doing his thing to avenge his mother)

Characters take that pose all the time after falling down in Family Guy, it's actually called the Family Guy death pose I think.

That pose is just the pose they commonly use in Family Guy whenever anybody dies. not just when Peter fell down the stairs. it is an easter egg.

I think i found an easter egg in Ready or Not, on the mission Greased Palms (the postal service one), you can find a crowbar that is very similar to Gordan Freemans's from the Half Life series. It is on the floor of a mail truck in front of some crates full of weapons, on the left side of the map in the loading dock area, past the sideways semitruck. As far as I can tell no one else has mentioned this, but I could be wrong.

If you consider those Easter Eggs in Dave the Diver, then you have only scratched the surface of the Easter Eggs in that game Some more of the people that you can hire are streamers. The one that I know for sure is Cohh from CohhCarnage, but there is also a guy called Rapter that I understand is another streamer. I am sure that a bunch of the others are too, but I do not know them Another one of the chefs that trains people I am rather sure is a reference to Julia Child Many of the melee weapons that you find have gimmicks that are references too. The golf club references golf games. The chicken has a very iconic sound, and the shovel has you attack like Shovel Knight just to name a few. Mjolnir is also in the game, toward the end After a while you will get a farm and then a chicken coop on that farm. Check the back of the coop for another Easter Egg

You don't have to punch the grass or punch anything. Just stand on the spot for the Astro Bots.

Was honestly expecting the Half Life easter egg to be the overused easter egg of the week

So i dunno if this was covered but in Ghost of Tsushima DLC Iki Island there is a reference to Kratos and God of War. There is a place called Statue of Ash, there you will find a tree with a hand mark and an axe on it which is a reference to God of War 4, if you wear the Sakai Armor and use the Draw Sword Posture (KB Default 5) near the tree your armor will turn to ash color and have markings similar to Kratos' and incidentally the Armor pieces is called Ghost of Sparta.

Not sure if you played Core Keeper but there's something you can buy from the seasonal merchant that you can only buy during the chistmas holiday, but luckily there's a seasonal override in the main menu. You'll need to craft the festival workbench. I think I ran into another easter egg but not completely sure and will have to look for it again.

The just crow things Han Solo Easter Egg is a double Easter egg. Not only is it han solo, it also references the moon monolith from 2001 space odyssey

In regards to your impression 9/10 But I think the sounds that James make at 5:24 references the breathing sound that Darth Vader makes from his mask. Or it’s the sound from Friday the 13th like you said

I recommend My Time at Sandrock. There’s sooo many references and Easter Eggs in the dialogue choices.

Here's a suggestion for a future video game that you haven't done yet. The VR game Waltz of the Wizard has tons of amusing Easter eggs, including an overused one that's obvious to reference in a game with Wizard in the name.

A hidden detail from me - Hand of Fate 2. When you fail in one of the minigames (dice roll, card draw, pendulum), quit the game immediately with alt+f4 and then turn the game on again straight away. When going into main menu The Dealer will say something along the lines "when cheating the game you only cheat yourself". I played the game over a year ago, so it might have changed in the meantime with one of the patches that came along the way, but I highly doubt it. Also, when you repeat the process - quit, game on, quote, play; quit, game on, quote, play, Dealer always said the same thing, there was no variation. Or at least the 5 times in a row, when I messed up the dice roll. Also Also, it's the only way I did it, and it always occured. I don't know if you can get this or other quotes in any other way.

Don't know if this is in other games or has been covered. But in Crysis 2 + 3, possibly 1 as well. If you reload a gun that uses bullets when the mag isn't empty, the gun will have a full mag plus one in the chamber. This is also reflected in the ammo indicator.

Those Astrobot bots look like a pain to try and get, but they at least look really cool.

Okay so the guy from Crime Scene Cleaner in 1:10 have an audio recording next to it which is a easter egg on it's own referancing "Paweł Jumper" a Polish video of a Guy who tried to jump from a small elevation on a bike but it didn't work out (yes the whole scene of how that guy in the game died is a referance to that video as there's a bike right next to the body). Just the differance is, Paweł Jumper didn't died.

@CaptainEggcellent You really need to do a video on Star Wara Outlaws, it has a lot of cool little details and a very obvious overused video game easter egg of the week contender 😅 I don't know if you have covered those yet but: - there is a working gouillutine near the Hotel the Ville in AC: Unity - during a story mission in AC: Unity you can find a man in the sewers mubeling 'my precious' in french - In FF7: Rebirth, while you are in Zack's hometown you can find Yuffie in one of the huts singing her own theme from the OG FF7

In Crime Scene Cleaner, there's a voiceline when you find a body on the toilet. Something along the lines of "You aren't Vincent" Referencing Pulp Fiction by Tarantino when the character Vincent was found dead on the toilet from an OD

I have an "overused reference" for you! In the new Ale & Tale Tavern game, there's a broken sign outside with "Arrow in the knee" on it. Apparently it was the tavern's previous name. I think there's a couple other references as well in conversations.

I just saw the credits roll on Astro Bot, and it's going to need its own video. There's a lot of details and Easter Eggs, and most objects can be interacted with in some way.

I remember Astro Bot being one of the first PS5 games

When I was doing the special bots, I would go for a walkthrough, but for the last one in Memory Meadow, I found all by myself and worked out what to do the day the game updated with it! I know it's silly but I felt very proud of that

For your youtubers series in Dave the Diver one of the people you can hire is Dreaghast. A youtuber who showed the game fairly early and was put into the game as a person you can hire.

day 3, Okay I have a few things you haven't covered. 1. in LEGO Batman 2 on level 13 or 14 (the one at city hall) in free play you can magnetize the clock hands to the time the clocktower got struck by lightning in the Back To The Future series. It will get struck by lightning explode and give you a mini-kit. 2. As another "overused easter egg of the week" in Murky Divers, some facilities will have the carpet from "The Shining".

Dave the diver has plenty of those nods to pop culture and is what helped it be popular. The astro bots I wouldn't consider Easter eggs simply because they were added for astro bot hype with trophies attached to them. It would mean ALL the bot references in astro's playroom would be an Easter egg if they counted.

There's a Dalek in fallout 76. It's in the Old Crimora Mines. At the very end in the little boss room, there's a spot under the main walkway you can jetpack to, with a bucket sporting a helmet, plunger and wonderglue bottle

idk if u seen this but: in Skyrim if u go on the road to Dustman's Cairn you will see cart tipped over with cabbages next to it. I think that's the easter egg for Avatar the last air bender.

The carbonite slab easter egg in "Just Crow Things" is actually a twofer, referencing the monolith from "2001: A Space Odyssey" as well from the way it is positioned in the middle of a crater.

If you stay on the Astro Bot menu long enough, you’ll start running into stars, some cans, and a little squid. This may only be because I’m on the squid world but I’m not sure

Although it's an overused Easter egg I think they get a pass for all of the other more clever ones. It's kinda nice that the crowbar is the go to half life reference but it's not going to fall into that realm of overused because it's just iconic and the surefire way people realize what it is referring to. The others that are overused there are other things that they could use to reference back to the future, Star wars, It/pennywise, and so on.

For once, I'd like to see a Star Wars reference featuring Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade, a TIE Defender curbstomping a T-Wing, and/or Kyle Katarn using overpowered Force Speed. Not even the Astro's games can compare with that kind of passionate fanservice. Was expecting the Gordon Ramsay reference to about something raw. Guess Civvie 11 spoiled me.

In crime scene cleaner, there is an easter egg where you look in a drawer. Inside the drawer there is 5 brown sugar and 1 plain white sugar up front in the middle of them.

In the game border lands 2 there is a mission called splinter group you can get from tannis in sanctuary where you can find some rats that hold a close resemblance to some very well known turtles

Could just be me but the space ship on the moon in Just Crow Things looked a lot like the ship used a lot in the marketing for No Mans Sky

Not gonna stop suggesting that you check out Touhou Mystia’s Izakaya and it’s few Easter eggs/ references Base game Marisa will remark when ordering a dish that needs the Japanese tag something along the lines of she has had it so many times it be easier to recall how many slices of bread she’s eaten… referring Remila’s prefight dialogue against her in EOSD where Remi asks if she can recall how many slices of bread she’s eaten in her life FINAL BOSS SPOILERS(SOMEWHAT) After beating the final boss they would mention how Mystia is safe as they consider Sparrows to be too bony… this is also a Prefigh dialogue reference this time it’s is referring to the prefight dialogue Youmu and the final boss(her mistress) has in Imperishable night aka Mysti’s debut game And in the DLC map Garden of the sun one of the NPC’s would remark on how you can make a suspicious stew with two mushrooms and a Lilly of the Valley(obviously it’s a Minecraft reference but I’d like to mention the humorous part is that the closest Named NPC to this one is Medicine whoes power is control over poison)
