The fact it sounds like Vs Cynthia from Gen 4 & 5 is just to slap that Volo is Cynthia's descendant and to give Gen 4 veterans PTSD. Unlike Cynthia who humbles you into the ground, Volo just tries to smash you into the ground and laugh.

This does feel like a good theme but Penny's battle theme in Scarlet and Violet slaps a lot harder

Both themes are great! The one thing that has never failed in any pokemon game is the OST. It's one of the main things that puts a big smile on my face when i play a new pokemon title!
