Tears basically the whole time. I recently completed Witcher 3 and I'm going through major post game depression. Every track feels so overwhelming, I am completely lost in it.
@@sverteczki01 Probably not. That was full concert among with world witcher 3 premiere. Rather some short 10 minute suite like this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9xRcoMDWCcQ.html
In these past couple years,I've sold my GTA5,RDR2,God of war1&2,Horizon,and a lot of the other games. Of course all they’re the great games, but there’re only one old friend who I truly wanna meet for once in every couple months. He’s name? Geralt of Rivia -From Japan
Spare a thought for those unfortunate Mozarts, Newtons, Da Vincis, Hitlers and Trumps whose fathers' condoms didn't break. They will never know the sunshine on their face at the dawn of each new day ... they will never get to argue about the stupefyingly unlikely odds that gave rise to them.
So I'm not the only one... Such a beautiful music, funny thing this song reminds me a bit from the music from my own homeland, and I'm not even European, but from the south of Brazil, i guess the accordion is what trully brought my thoughts to the pampas of my land.
Each region has such distinct music as well, like you can tell when a song is from Velen, Skellige, Beauclair, and even Ain Siede (the elven stuff when the wild hunt is involved)
I genuinely think the Witcher 3 should be proclaimed European Cultural Heritage, and that at least one of these tracks will one day in say an.2250 be regarded as a masterpiece of Classic Music.
Masterpiece or not but just recently I heard "The wolf and the Swallow " on classical FM radio, followed by some music from Warhammer game. Also there's a Heroes Orchestra which plays scores from Heroes of Might and Magic games.
"Kaer Morhen" will always make me feel nostalgic about a life that I didn't even live (literally), aka Geralt's. Makes me feel sad and happy at the same time. The Witcher 3 is truly a masterpiece, both the game + rich story and soundtrack itself.
same!!! I don't know how the song does that. It makes me feel...sad and happy... alone and at home at the same time. Wistful. And it is kinda interesting that other people seem to have the same conflicting feelings. Just an amazing song.
Katarzyna Bromirska's performance during Ladies of the Woods is insane! Her voice and face during that performance is incredible. Encaptures the entire eastern slavic witch lore visually and auditory. She's very beautiful woman! but the faces she make... Goddamn.
Man, let me tell y’all something, I’ve been gaming since the 80s, when the Atari was at its prime and the original Nintendo NES was burgeoning. Ever since, I’ve loved video games and it’s been an absolute blast watching this medium evolve to what it is today. When I was 5 playing the original Legend of Zelda I never could have imagined video games of the future would become multimillion dollar productions, complete with their own orchestral soundtracks and cinematic gameplay. I think we need to all take a minute to recognize and give praise to just how many talented and creative people work on these games for our enjoyment. So, so awesome! Thank you CDPR, The Witcher 3 has been one of the most enjoyable video games of all time for me, and for so many others. Thank you for all the hard work that went into this game, what a masterpiece!!
hell ive been playing games since late 90s i could never see it coming either tbh never thought avideo games music would become my fovorite music of all times over took even metal for me i listen to witcher 3 musoc everyday now XD
When I started gaming it was near the end of the NES era beginning of SNES. If you told that kid that one of his favorite games of all time would be Witcher 3 and would describe it to him. He would call you crazy! Specially if you say the music alone makes it a masterpiece. It's insane how far video games have come and how they rival movies for me!
@@Neutrino33 I'm sorry. I don't know Polish. Can you tell me some of the differences in the English and Polish versions? By your words it seems it's a whole different experience.
@@varunpatkar501 It is not a problem of the translation itself - actually it is done quite well. The key point is the difference in the culture and some play of words. I do not speak Japanese but I was reading Murakami, translated into English and Polish and for me polish translations were better...not because of the lack of skill of the translator but because of the difference in culture and the way we see and undestand the world around us. That is why I think learning other languages gives us different points of view on the same situations.
@@GH-yk6zd percival schuttenbach, they have very good songs, including the old metal versions of some of the witcher 3 ost before they where recorded for CDPR
Imagine playing this game for the first time again.....experience the moral dilemma in Baron's quest, getting the pearl from the sea bed for a husband with hopes to revive wife suffering from amnesia, experience the underlying themes of racism, genocide, casteism, lack of black and white but instead all grey scenarios....crying to the Wolf and the Swallow tune.....all over again. Hand's down...it is a masterpiece and the current GOAT.
Honestly the first time arriving in Skellige, hearing that sound track and seeing the most beautiful scenery I'd ever seen in a game at that point is something I will never forget.
NGL, that's probably my absolute least favorite part in the entire soundtrack lol. I love this game's soundtrack but it would probably be my favorite of all time if Percival wasn't in it. Don't get me wrong, they're talented but their style of vocals just isn't my thing.
@@wildhunt6350 Yes, I know, I just wasn't much of a fan of them in the game's soundtrack. I thought they did a fantastic job in this performance, though. Like I've said before, they're extremely talented people but their style isn't really my thing and if we're being honest, there aren't many female vocalists that I enjoy listening to.
@@wildhunt6350 To each their own. I didn't care for their work in the game but here, I think it's the reverb of the concert hall, there's something that made it grow on me. I went back and re-listened to their work in-game and yeah, still not a fan of that but I did enjoy it in this show.
Still remember when I first went to Kaer Morhen in Witcher 3. Ran through the whole castle and was like, ahhhhh just as I remember it from the first Witcher. I am home again.
Go read the books. As a fan of both books and games (and a few episodes of this Netflix stuff, which is unfortunately ripped by political correctness) I can tell you, that listening to audiobook of the Witcher's world to sleep is best you can do to avoid sleeping (give me more, give me more, fuck tomorrow's work).
@@bartoszmajchrzak2225 I've nearly finished reading all the books. I always read them before I sleep. Once I've finished them all I don't know what to do to fill the emptiness
Here in August 2021 yout not the only one buddy I sometimes just put the game on and do other things like clean or when I'm at work I listen to the soundtrack when doing paper work ❤❤
As a bulgarian Ladies of the Woods & Lazare hit directly in the heart. They represented the entire EU folklore so well in this game especially the slavic part.
@Coonje Raynor well, his son died, maybe that caused him to act that swiftly with no hesitation to save his life but was too late (His son is the one that make Sapkowski create Geralt and all this Witcher world 20 something years ago). He may still be an ass, was before his son illness, but as an artist he is like, hm let's compare George R. R. Martin, one stubborn son of a... 😏 I once judged Andrzej so easily, now I have more humility with judging anyone, but I still does it from time to time. We shouldn't do it
@Coonje Raynor Yup he is stubborn. But still he wanted money to treatment and that was the only way. But maybe if he asked CD for financial support they might help him... We will never know anyway. I just hope the witcher series will be great. Also am about to start reading first book. Bought 4 of them 😊
I'll keep this image forever whenever I hear this theme. Walking under the clear sunny sky of Toussaint for the first time, between the vinyards, seeing Beaclair majestic as ever in the distance, dirt from Velen still on my boots...
I’m a gamer for long long time, I’ve played a lot of games, I spend a lot of money on it, and I was just play every game I found until the Witcher 3 came!, then everything changed with me, I never played a game like the Witcher 3, and I will not ever never played a game like it, ladies and gentlemen this is a masterpiece work, more then that, this a work form outside our world, and yeah can’t stop of feeling amaze and sad right now.
I really wish I could feel the same thing. I don't know why but I just can't get into the Witcher 3. I'm sure it's an amazing game, comments like these are all over the place, but I just ... get bored when playing it. What specifically about it do you like? Are you an rpg fan, or an action-adventure kind of guy?
@@egdrei I think there's a lot to like in the game but in my opinion what It excels at is player choice and how it gives you what you put into it. I've seen many lesser games that also have multiple endings but the different here is that unlike those games the ending isn't entirely dependent on one choice but several and it all culminates in a perfect ending depending on how you play. It could be tragic, incredibly happy or even bittersweet.
@@bibilusi11 Well, the band playing here along with the orchestra is Percival. But they usually play just by themselves, with few instruments, it was specifically this "The Wild Hunt Tour" set of concerts that contained the whole symphonic orchestra as well
What I love about this is folk band (Percival) - self taught artists with homemade instruments are playing as equals with the professional orchestra. It's very refreshing!
even though Geralt gets his own epic orchestral theme - it's Percival that supply his personality. The result is the greatest ever soundtrack to any game.
@@thektorMK1 would be epic! I've seen 2 live sets so far and was blown away every time, this sort of music is so so good! All my friends think I'm weird lol but I don't care 😂
It is sorrow about belonging to something great and important. Sorrow of impossibility to belong and to be a part of. Now we all apart. It's unnatural, against human nature. That's why.
When you think that story is over and this book ic closed, just listen this concert... It's not over, never will. Thanks to those musicians for playing so heartly.
You know that the time-stamp is for Mystery man, and it plays when Gerald is planing the heist with Ewald. Btw: You are right, Gaunter is the best mysterious villian I've ever seen
@@karanthekhalsaboy for me skyrim will always have a place in my hearth for it touched me in so many levels, BUT After these years i have to say The Witcher wild hunt is far more superior in every aspect.
@@karanthekhalsaboy like i said. For me. I feel that skyrim is a bit too much of that "Good mood" game. it just doesn't do it for me anymore... witcher on the other hand has that "dark fantasy" feeling that i love more and require from a game to be good. I'm not saying skyrim is bad or shitty. literally my life was that game for many years and i still enjoy it really much. I respect your opinion and it is good to see that some people still enjoy skyrim even after all these years. Still waiting for that skyblivion mod, are you? :D
I always love how Joanna has to hype herself up for that absolutely epic battle-cry at 45:41. Like, the entire thing is amazing, but every time Percival is at the forefront, the entire composition and performance really get a lift!
7:58-10:30 is such a good representation of why the soundtrack for Witcher 3 is universally praised and loved. The scene it scores has no dialogue, no sound, nothing. Just the look of horror and shock, and slow realization on Geralt's face that he had run out of time. Ciri had died, and there wasn't anything he could do. Man, I didn't cry, but I felt genuine anguish at the thought of having traveled all those hours, fought my way through countless enemies, dealt with kings, assassination plots, old friendships and rescue operations, only to arrive and see your daughter, an anchor, cold, lifeless, dead.
Kaer Morhen gives me chills every time. As well as Farewell, as well as Ladies of the Woods, as well as... :) Damn, years pass and it doesn't get any old. The composers are masters of mood.
Its beautiful yet so sad. Beautiful as when we first heard in on the balcony watching Ciri train and sad when Kaer Morhen is empty when you finish the game :,(
i put all of my father memories to The Witcher 3 game and songs. Whenever i listen to this, i remember all of my memories. RIP my dear father i love you
Eyes tearing up, shivers down my spine, hair standing up on my entire body... happiness, sadness... so many emotions. What a masterpiece of a game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Skyrim just have the most amazing OSTs, story and gameplay.
