▶ My "It's Just A Video Game" Series: ru-vid.com/group/PLC-g_SCGiW2tt81LDA1co6kTdnb7TDVyo Kept you waiting, huh? I wanted to try something different and do hope you’ll enjoy watching as this took a long time editing. This video isn't perfect, there are several parts (especially audio/sounds) that could’ve been exceedingly better, but I’m contentedly proud of the final result. I apologize if your favorite game isn’t included, I mainly focus on the ones I’ve played, but I tried to add at least a few I haven’t yet. If you would like to see a next part, discombobulate that 👍 as if you were given a one lifetime chance to deliver a devastating haymaker to that disgustedly greedy ugly mustached son of rat.
Well truth hurts, society praises hero for their work, but if you look through other angle that hero is villain for children or friends and family of who he killed in his adventure. So who is true Hero and Who is True Villain.
This is the most amazing game mashup I've ever seen. I almost can't believe how little the views are, you deserved at least a million views for this. The transitions are soooo smooth, made me cry even though I don't know some of the games, but tbh rdr and tlou series made me cry the most.
"The hero ... Never gets to see that ending. They die, not knowing if their sacrifice was in vain." That ... That hits more than I thought it would; and I dunno why I never understood the significance of that.
you pulled out the red vs blue; church's speech and i died on the inside. thanks for making me sob like a little bitch and relive that repressed memory because that episode killed me :)
At this point games almost and already rival movies books they show storytelling like no other, characters that you get so attached to. even more than characters in books and movies then they die and you have seen everything through these characters eyes and it tears you apart man, video games are more than just games, they are art Our generations art Like the wondrous art of the renaissance era and the steam powered machines of the west that traveled miles in minutes and the nuclear warheads of the 80s that every moment could be humanity’s doom. So I say video games are our art our accomplishment and I’m proud of that
"Show me a hero, and I'll write you a tragedy." -F. Scott Fitzgerald They maybe just games. But they taught us and showed us great stories and lessons. Who are we, to be so blessed, to play.
You have no idea how hard ezio's quote hit me in the heart "who are we who have been so blessed to share our stories like this. To speak across centuries" hearing that quote with lineups of characters makes me now want a speech from him just from that quote showing a sideshow of every game series characters standing shoulder to shoulder. Just knowing what gaming means to all of us, it made me want to cry.
I imagine the writers knew people would hear that and think of all of Assassin's Creed and every other game that mattered to us. It was more than a "in the moment" quote.
Of all the "It's just a video game" videos that I've seen here so far, this one has one of the least views And yet, it's by far the best one of all of them, the only one to invoke this much emotion and pain and remind us why it is that we love these games
I completely agree with you. Especially if it was put in the Forgiveness part of the video, It would've made the Feels hit even harder. Maybe put it at the beginning of Forgiveness. It would've sounded something like this: "Do you feel like a hero yet? This path you walk, revenge, is a fool's game. You'll find no peace." "I don't think I can ever forgive you for that. But I'd like to try... I'd like that."
When i looked at the views this video has i was truly shocked. I thought this was already a viral video. One of the best transitions and editing i have seen. Keep it up mate!
this video is truly underrated, this video is a masterpiece to me, the transitions, the editing is amazing to me, I think your work deserves a lot more love, Stay safe and enjoy your life to the fullest.
Thank you so much!! I am extremely grateful for your positivity, it's comments like yours that pushes me to significantly grow and learn as a content creator into producing more quality videos 🙃❤
Tbh, I could go into the details of each scene and point out the small mistakes, but I am not going to, because in the end.. what does it achieve? Nothing
They’ve never been “just games” they’ve always been ways of showing us these magnificent pieces of art in an extraordinary way and make us truly feel for these characters and immerse us in these amazing worlds. I don’t think that they hear thank you enough for these amazing games, so thank you. Thank you for all the hard work and time you put into these stories and masterworks.
That red vs blue speech about sacrifices will always get me. Just the idea of the hero dying, hoping that their sacrifice will help but never knowing is deeply upsetting to me. When I first watched that episode I cried and I don't think I ever stopped, deep down.
All I can say is wow. I watched a lot of 'it's just a video game' videos, but these ones have hit me so much harder. Not just the heartfelt moments from my favorite games, but how well these were put together, and how much effort Palentro clearly put into these, it all made me pretty emotional. Bravo man, bravo.
War never changes. Humans are no strangers to war. We fought for emotion, we fought for country, we fought for freedom. But... war has changed. I don't know about y'all, but that's my favourite line of this video, that transition to MGS4 was awesome...
"I'm a gamer. Not because I have no life. But because I choose to have many." Every one of these stories that I experience leaves a mark. Teaches me something. And I will never forget those experiences.
"who are we to have been so blessed, to shsre our stories like this, to speak across centuries." I just realized that's what video games do. They imprint their story in us and years later we tell and share the story and memories we had with it and then it's shared again and again across decades before turning to legend and reaching across decades of life
I have NEVER seen editing as good as this, and I’ve watched so many of these videos. Came back to your channel after discovering you’ve got the most viewed “it’s just a game” montage, and you’ve blown me away again. 👏👏👏
You know this is pretty damn good all in all but the fact that you put in Churches last lines in Red vs Blue just made it all the more perfect I tip my hat to you sir
These have been great to watch man. Love the transitions and all the work you put in. Many things I forgot about brought back a lot of memories and emotions. Especially the Church monologue near the end, wasn't expecting to feel so much emotion from that bit too.
Glad you've enjoyed it! Church's monolougue broaden my perspective of every hero's stories, how they're dedicated to saving the day, even to an extent to sacrificing their own life knowing they'll never witness the ending they've been truly fighting to achieve for. But entrusted and believed someone else will accomplish their dreams because they're still determinedly fighting with as much resolve as the hero had. Hope lives on in everyone who desires the same future.
Honestly, this was the best video I've seen in my life, RU-vid has a lot of content, but for me nothing beats the emotion of having seen this video, I felt very emotional because this video was so epic, so thank you! And as much as I haven't played a lot of these games, the lines and the synchrony fit together in a phenomenal way to show the reality of being human. Do not give up on making these works of art, as this edition is like an Oscar film.
I love how you included less conventional games in this montage as well like Doki Doki, Omori, Little Nightmares, Mortal Kombat, Kingdom Hearts, and even Henry Stickman!
"It's just a movie" "It's just a book" "It's just a game" It's just a perspective that one can have. To deliberately not invest oneself in the story that a game tries to tell - I do it often, just turn off my brain and play - or to pay attention and live along these characters. To paint yourself among them, live among them in their world. Invest yourself in their lives as you would do with friends and family in the real world. We've kinda left the era of big monsters or insurmountable odds. Sure, we still have DOOM and other "simple" games for a reason, but most titles want to tell a story. Stories of grief and hardship or of victory and pride. It's not so much brain-dead fun anymore as it is to bring people an experience; like theatre or an event. It's no longer to spend time, but to witness. Who am I kidding? We know damn Well that video games as a medium have grown incredibly fast. We can sling around big words all we want, but we all know that games are more than just the play: it's an event now.
I have one thing to say. Just thank you. Thanks for letting me relive all these memories again even if some of them are heart wrenching. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go play through Tlou part 1 and 2 for the millionth time because of this video
“Sic Parvis Magna” “Greatness From Small Beginnings” I don’t think anyone has any idea how much that quote has stuck with me and how much it will stick with me for the rest of my life, god I wish I could wipe my memory and replay the uncharted games.
There's so many things that we saw So many wars that we fought and so many people that we lost, all of this happened in another world, our gaming world. Cheers for all gamers that understand that it's not just a game
Palentro, I’m two weeks late haha, but this was absolutely fucking awesome, hit differently to the first two, it captivates war and many other things, part 4 would be phenomenal
Dude this is a really cool video games scene, you gave me that feeling, you're such a good editor. It felt good to see my favorite games with my favorite song this video deserves more PERFECT JUST A PERFECT VIDEO
3:45-5:00 I absolutely adore. Not only are the music and transitions amazing, but it was like reliving the moments of my gaming experience that made me feel such emotion. I relived the feeling of seeing that nuke set off in Modern Warfare, me fighting my sworn brother in Yakuza Kiwami, me making that final leap to survive in Mass Effect 2, me feeling the weight of the consequences of my actions in Detroit Become Human. Fantastic video. Please keep making these. You truly show what us gamers keep to heart and remember.
This makes me feel thing humans are not meant to understand a deeper connection to the world we inhabit., well done edit is on point trip through memory lanes keep up the good work ❤
